Hello again ladies,
Right after I introduced myself we were on vacation and then just busy.
And I cant seem to figure out how to login in on my phone.
So I found out on July 17th that We are having a BOY I already have a son that is 4 and a daughter that is 2. I did have some gender disappointment for a couple weeks. I was secretly hoping for another girl. I had this fantasy in my mind of 2 girls and going shopping and planning their wedding and all that special stuff. I always wanted a sister growing up to share things like that with. Maybe we can try again in a couple years, although DH has said a few times that hes done and ask me which one of us is getting "fixed" I haven't told him that I was a little sad. I love my baby boy and I am over joyed to be blessed with another healthy baby. I just had this vision of my girls.....
I go in for another ultrasound 8/14 to check my cervix as my other 2 babies were born premature
I am on progesterone to help prevent it this time. Im hoping to make it to the 2nd week of November.
Has anyone else taken progesterone for this reason and had any success?
I am trying to read up on everyone and this time I am set to contribute more and be a "part" of the board. You ladies sure seem very supportive and respectful of each other.

I hope its ok to jump back in

on the boy! That is exciting. Its funny because this time I was really hoping for a boy, and we ended up with another girl..that will make five girls and I already have two boys. I know what you mean about sisters. I had an older sister, and I was the youngest of four, but I always wanted to be the older sister. I have to say now that I know she is a girl, i think its sweet that my little girl will be the youngest of 7. Welcome back. Glad youre here!

Welcome Back!

I have to tell you from a person with a sister...it isn't like that. Haha Actually I don't know anyone who actually liked their sister until they were grown.lol

I am also on hydroxy progesterone shots for preterm labor. I had a daughter born at 34 weeks so they gave them to me with my son. They worked great. He was born the day after the doctor said it would be totally out of my system. I am on them again this time too.

Glad to see you are back!!! Congrats on team blue It seems like a handful of us had mild gender disappointment upon our initial findings, but we've all seemed to "get over it" and embrace the miracles growing within us. Kinda funny, because we all have had our own reasons for wanting the opposite gender, but I bet we'll all be so grateful for the son/daughter we're given! At least, that's how it is with me

I have had a few friends who've taken the POS (and what a PITA, literally, they said it was) to help stave off PTL. It worked for the few women I know, so I hope it works for you, too!

welcome back

I am currently getting weekly 17-p myself as I had a 23 weeker. I plan to stop taking the shots at 32 weeks myself as I am already tired of getting poked and the last 2 shots have hurt and I have bleed a great deal at the sight. Those needles are no joke!

Thanks for the welcome. Really hoping the progesterone works. It is a pain. But to keep my little gummy bear in there at least to 34 weeks is worth it.

Welcome back and congrats on your boy! It's always a little hard when you have a dream and it just doesn't become a reality isn't it? Mine's a boy too, and he was my last chance for a redheaded girl. Well, girl's out, but redhead's still a possibility (although I wouldn't be growing long curly pigtails on a boy.....)

I have two sisters. One I got along with UNTIL we were grown (she hasn't spoken to me in 3 years). The other we always got along okay, but she's 5 1/2 years younger than me so we were kind of just in different spheres until were both adults and then became real friends.
