So I went for my regular appointment last Thursday and everything was fine. On Monday I started contracting which isn't too far from normal for me I just ate some high magnesium/calcium food and waited for them to stop like every other time. They hadn't stopped by bed which has happened before so I figured they would be gone by morning. Not so much as I woke up at 5 crying because they hurt so bad. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and attempted to go about my day. By 11 I was in so much pain I went to labor and delivery. My doctor discharged me after some time on the monitor and had me meet him at his office. He did a cervical ultrasound and fFN which the fFN was negative and the cervix was still long and "had it's own zip code" so he said it was highly unlikely I would deliver this century.

Now I am off work and on Procardia which so far is not helping much. I had another NST today and I am contracting every 2-3 minutes even with the highest dose. From what I feel August has dropped quite a bit but is stuck on my pelvic bone and can't engage. Almost all the movement I feel is right on the pelvic floor and horribly painful. So now that I JUST started Nate in a school by his daycare on Tuesday I am on bed rest go figure. The district will not provide transportation because I transferred him so O have no choice but to drive him or have someone take him.

So sorry you're going through this, praying all calms down in there and you can get back to normal the remainder of the time. So glad your cervix was staying long though, that is great! Hang in there mama!

*hugs* It almost sounds like the contractions are causing you SPD. Have you tried to see if you can get some stronger pain meds to help?

Thanks everyone the contractions have finally pretty much stopped as long as I take the medicine regularly. I was able to do two pills every 6 hours yesterday and am trying one every 8 today but might have to take them a little more often because I'll start getting twinges the last hour or so. My lower abdomen is pretty sore like I just delivered and the kicks in the sore muscles are killer but a good reminder that he is okay and still growing where he belongs. The medicine is giving me headaches and a low fever so not sure how much I will be checking in/commenting because I really just want to sleep all the time right now. Hopefully in the next couple days with the lower dose my body will get used to it and the headaches will stop.

I'm so sorry you've had such a stressful and scary week, but I'm glad the medicine is working for you!
