So I went for a 24 week scan yesterday because my OB likes to send 35+ aged women for the additional scan. It was fun to see the baby again but dangit, my fluid is high. They said 25 is too high and mine is 24 so I am supposed to decrease how much sugar I eat. Okay. I left that appointment thinking I probably failed my 1 hour glucose test that I had taken 2 days prior...booo....

I had to call my regular OB anyway because I had been sick in August and had some bloodwork done then. It was out of whack, so they redrew later in the month wanting to see it get better...it didn't. So they redrew it AGAIN this week and gave me a hematology referral. ***? As in, the number said, "hematology/oncology." F no. DO NOT WANT ONCOLOGY. DO NOT WANT SCARY WORDS!!!

So anyhow, there I was yesterday, calling my OB to ask how my glucose test and my CBC redraw did. I expected the worst since 1) the high risk OB indicated too much sugar causes the extra amniotic fluid and 2) I had my blood drawn when I had a sinus infection, so I knew my CBC would not be "normal." I was stressing. I left a message and they called me back and said that I PASSED my glucose test (WOOT!) and that somehow my white blood cells are still higher than normal, but the lymphocytes and neutrophils (what they were concerned about the most) were back to normal range. So now I don't have to go to the hematologist after all.

DANGIT, way to scare the everloving crap out of me. NOT COOL, MAN!

In conclusion, it looks as if I will live, haha! Unless work kills me first. That's been super busy and stressful because I am a moron and took on extra projects to help people out at other schools. Dumb...anyway, happy Friday!

Ya... hearing oncology would have sent my stress levels through the roof. I know pregnancy hormones can make some of those things flair up. Oy... But glad everything is normal now!!!
