So I noticed today while looking at my behind in the mirror (lol) that I have the purple line you're supposed to get during labor.

It's kind of freaking me out! I was under the impression it didn't show until dilation occurred. I really hope I'm not dilated yet....

I don't mean to be weird by asking yall to look at your butt cracks, but does anyone else already have it?

Nope. Everything looks normal. ( I THINK. I've never looked at it that way before)

I didn't know that you get a purple line when you're in labor, though.

I just googled it. Interesting, never read those studies before...

But... what does that mean for you, since you are already seeing yours? EEEK! How do you feel?

I feel no different. I only get maybe 3-4 BH a day, too. Maybe her head is just pressing down low on my cervix?

It's a little line that runs up your butt crack when you're in labor, or dilated. It's caused by pressure from the baby's head on a vein or something like that.

*ran to the bathroom*

Yup. I got it. But then again, in the pat 4 days, I have lost my plug, BHs on the increase and baby has dropped. No surprise.

This is the first I am ever hearing of this.

Could it just be because baby is riding low? Does it have to be labor?

I've never heard of this either!! As a matter of fact, you posted something about this the other day about teaching your husband the purple line test and I had to google it then and still didn't find anything!! My butt is too big at the moment to find any little purple line anyway. I'm just gonna have to pray it's not there Hang in there honey!!

...And now I'm looking at an image search of ladies' buttcracks in labor.

I don't see anything. But I don't normally study my butt that closely!

I've got a huge booty, but I did look and I DO have a line! but they also said you'll have a line and if it's pink, it's no big deal, but if it's purple, then...

I've no idea if this is pink or purple and, sorry ladies, I'm not going to spread my cheeks for a photo to have you wager on the color I'll just assume this is pink and all's well
