Hey ladies!!! We made it to Colorado just in time for snow! We're currently living at my BIL's house and looking for a place to live. Please send us some good vibes on renting our old place and finding a new one. I don't want to be here for too long and wear out our welcome. We have another place to live as soon as the owner gets back from his week long hunting trip, so that should ease the burden on our in-laws. If necessary, we can find a place to rent in the meantime, but without having rented our old place and all the costs to move here (and the delay in pay from the shutdown), things are going to be tight as it is.

I did my 28 week appointment at my old doctor's office before we moved. The midwife said my sugar log looked good and I could stop testing if I wanted. As far as she was concerned, there's no GD. The doctor over her made her send me for an A1C test, just to double check me (and make sure I wasn't faking my sugar log) and that came out good too. All the other blood test results came back fine and I was measuring right at 29 weeks (I was 28w6d at the appt.).

I have an appointment to meet with a potential new doctor here on Thursday. I never thought I was interested in a VBAC, but I think it might have been because I knew none of the hospitals near us in Georgia would even consider it. I'll be talking to him on Thursday to see if he thinks I'm a good candidate.

We drove the 21 hour trip over two days and including stops, it took us 28 hours. My girls were AMAZING! We had a few meltdowns (both them and me) and a few "if I have to sit in this car another second I will scream" moments, but we made it. The altitude is kicking my behind and the dry air is a shock to my poor Floridian skin, but slowly we're getting in a groove. I can't wait to have my computer set up again, but that won't be until we find a more permanent place to live.

Welcome back, we missed you!! I've never been further north than Arizona so I have NO IDEA what the altitude would be like. I'm sorry that you are having to get used to that but extremely happy that you and your family are where you want to be!

Be careful with the altitude sickness. Keep an eye out on feeling light headed or nauseaus (sp). It typically takes a good 6 weeks or so to be fully adapted, but with pregnancy, I'm not sure if it can happen sooner or later. Your oxygen intake is the biggest thing to watch in the beginning, and some docs will check your O2 levels with new preg patients just to be sure all's well.

So glad you made it without much incident and FX you find a house soon!

*WELCOME BACK!* You were very greatly missed!!! Love your update and am excited about your sugar being better and VBAC consideration. I hear all kinds of WONDERFUL things about Colorado for us crunchy types, so I'm a little envious and can't wait to learn of your new adventures!!!!!

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"

Where is CO are you? Glad you made it safely! What hospitals are you looking at? I agree with the altitude--water, water, water--and tylenol if you get headaches
