Finally had it this morning. Sent SO a little note....

Keep in mind I'm not your maid or your mother. It's common curtesy when you put something in the sink to rinse it out or leave it to soak with water in it so food doesn't stick. (Or even better, take the extra 10 seconds to put it in the dish washer) A 20 second effort vs 5 minutes of scrubbing when it's dried and stuck on. Same with dumping food in the sink. It also sticks and dries on if you don't rinse it out.

Also, you were raised with women. Stop leaving the toilet seat up. Some of us don't get to use the bathroom alone. And while carrying a baby with one hand and trying to do everything else with the other we aren't always paying attention to make sure everyone else in the house decided to have manners that day or not.

Seriously. Your not 12 years old. You should know this and all of the other common curtesy things I'm forever having to remind you of over and over again.

The weeks you weren't working I didn't intentionally leave you work. And you weren't recovering from a major abdominal surgery, childbirth and taking care of 2 dependent kids.

(((((Kendal))))) Can I join your rant? Pretty frustrated here, too. How is it they think they are doing sooo much, when they aren't? I don't get it.

Oh, I've got something for you! I had a c section, major abdominal surgery as you stated above. I got released on a Wednesday and for the next 5 days and nights I struggled to breathe. I literally felt like I was dying. I was up all night BY MYSELF, sick as h e l l, taking care of a newborn because DH had to work and the whole time, he thought I was a hypochondriac. Just a reminder, the following Monday I got readmitted to the hospital for another 3 days so needless to say, I was pretty freaking sick. Today, DH sends me a text message saying how sick he is and that he feels like death. He comes home from work this morning and has been in bed asleep all day because he just can't bare to move. He even put EAR PLUGS in his ears! SERIOUSLY??? Please forgive me if I'm not completely sympathetic. I was quiet literally dying a few weeks ago and you have a little cold and want me to feel sorry for you? Puhhhhhlease!

^ok so you win!

But I can totally relate to having no help at night. Even in the hospital I was awake almost a week straight for 24 hours because he'd sleep all night and nap during the day. He has this problem with thinking just because he slept means everyone else did. Someone had to be up with the baby who was under lights because he liked moving his sun glasses over his nose. Feed him hourly... Change him multiple times an hour.

On the third kid I don't even bother. Him being awake at night is of no use to me. Unless I have to pee and then I make him hold the baby.

Good luck with those men.lol

Oh Lord... There needs to be a training group for them. Something where they go through the pains of contractions, experience something equivalent to birth and exhaustion and all that, and ALSO have to get up and take care of the house

Good luck. How old is he?

Just a little advice and please don't take this the wrong way. Pick and choose your battles. I learned a long time again to ***** about things that are important. The toilet seat not so much lol if you have to out it down at some pint he has to lift it up. It's a never ending battle.

^ 27, and the sad thing is I do pick my battles. And rarely say anything. What drives me nuts is the inconsistently of it. Like things were never a problem and suddenly he starts doing it all the time. I don't get it.
