Does anyone else have low progesterone?

My midwife ordered a beta and progesterone draw for me Saturday. (12-14 dpo) My HCG was 119 and my progesterone was 10.8. She feels like that is low, so she referred me to an OB for further testing and treatment.

My appt is Wednesday morning. I can't sleep I'm so nervous. I've never met this Dr and honestly I am scared of OBs after the way I was treated last time. I know they are not all the same, but still. I hope and pray he takes my concerns seriously! It looks like I will have to take my toddler because my husband can't get off work. Ugh! He is a high energy little guy. It will be fun trying to keep him out of trouble.

I have been so afraid that I will start bleeding. Terrified. We tried so hard for this baby and I want to give it the best chance possible. Any good thoughts and prayers you can send my way would be much appreciated!

I'm sending my thoughts and prayers your way I'm worried something will go wrong too since this is my first pregnancy and I have no idea what to expect. I can't wait until my first dr. appointment in 3 weeks.

Just dropping in to give you some reassurance...many OBs don't consider prog low unless it's under 10 (or under 20 if you're on a prog supplement) so try not to worry...my OB (for example) wouldn't even flag you as low, as she uses 10 as the cutoff. Best of luck to you with this pregnancy!

Dropping in from Dec DDC...

Don't worry! Most OBs are reasonable, caring people. Just like any other profession, there are mostly great ones and a few bad apples thrown in.

I happen to LOVE my OB (she has 6 children of her own, the last one being 6 months old!).

It will be FINE.
