Ok mama's, no judgement here! What's your tentative (because we all know our bodies can be unpredictable) birth plan?

I selected natural hospital birth. I looooooved my epi last time, but since I am attempting a vbac, I am going with a midwife and they have other pain management techniques that I am will to try first. But only time will tell!

I have an appointment at a birth center in a couple weeks and I'll decide from there. I wish I could have a hospital birth with a birth center release. I love the epidural (ironically I didn't want one with my first but water broke and needed pitocin and didn't dilate til I got one, #2 I labored for 6 hours total before she came out and only 2 at the hospital but I was set on my epidural and my dr gave me one at 9 cms lol no regrets but if I hadn't been set on one I probably could have done it without). So, we'll see. The birth center is an hour away so I'm a little nervous about time but my doctor is 45 minutes so it's not much difference...the local doctors here really ticked me off when I tried them last pregnancy (moved from first) and there's no way I'm using them.

It is a birth center (separate from L&D) in a hospital. DD was a transfer from a free standing birth center to a hospital and it was a pretty terrible experience. Hoping for a better experience this time around.

Well this is my first pregnancy and my first baby!!

So my plan:

I'm not completely opposed to an epidural, but I would very much like to try and give it my best effort to not get one. We are also not planning on finding out what we are having, so I feel that will help give me the push to not have one!

Well I've had 4 natural births, my last I had an epidural. I'll be opting for an epi again.

I plan on taking a bag to the hospital and getting as far as I can before getting an epidural. The only question is whether the little punk will be coming in his or her own schedule or if labor will have to be induced. I'm too wussy to endure past my due date, and both DS and dd were a bit over 8 lbs when they were born. They were DONE.

Currently planning on a natural hospital birth...but starting to lean more to a homebirth. It all depends on how supportive my OB's are of my birth plan.
