I made this last night for dinner:

vegetable tamale pie - Budget Bytes

Only I added a package of veggie meat, no egg or milk and non dairy cheese. It was soooo good. I have it for lunch today and I'm already excited.

On the downside, all this extra eating has caused my weight to go up 4 lbs in the last week and a half which is upsetting. Today I've been focusing on drinking more water/tea when I feel hungry and not making any trips to trader joe's or something just because. I know some of that is bloat but some of it is the bag of candy corn I ate in two days, so time to reign it in now so I'm not the size of a blimp in June.

I get it! Yesterday and today I've been famished. Like cannot get enough to eat. I ate a full dinner last night and looked at DH and said, "I'm hungry." What in the world!? I'm going to be as big as a house in a matter of weeks. This cannot be happening!

That sounds delish!!! I have the opposite problem. I am already nauseated. I know I need to eat, but nothing ever sounds good. I end up choking food down and I know in a couple of weeks, I'll be praying it stays down if it's anything like my last pregnancy. I wouldn't worry too much right now. Usually the appetite will even out after a few weeks!

Thinking of food lately has made me even more nauseous than before. My food aversion is starting to kick in big time since yesterday. I want to eat so badly but the thought just makes my stomach feel like its spinning.

That makes me sad because I have a super awesome menu planned for the rest of the week into next week!

My appetite is huge. I will gain several pounds during the first trimester. The last time I was super paranoid about it and was really down on myself because I was gaining so much weight -- but then all told, I only gained 35 pounds total, so it wasn't so bad.

They say to eat a lot of small meals throughout the day, so just make them healthy meals. Try to eat lots of fruits and veggies (believe me, I'm not a healthy eater by any means, but this is the one time I really push myself to do it -- plus, fruits and veggies will fill you up and not give you a lot of calories). Greek yogurt with protein in it will help give you some energy.

Chinese food is the one aversion I have while I'm pregnant.

Last night we indulged and had cheeseburgers (we had spent two nights eating salad and baked potatoes -- a girl needs some meat!). So, so good!

I've been trying to up veggies as much as possible to counteract. Last night though, I wanted, sooooo bad, a grilled cheese with pepperjack, sweet pickles and white peaches. My bf said he looked everywhere for peaches and couldn't find them so he tried to make up for it with fried pickles.

They were pretty awesome but my stomach has been upset in the evening, so that with the grease was making me sick :/

Yesterday I saw salsa on a buffet and almost puked right then and there. Sad, because I LOVE salsa. Last night I packed my lunch for work today, and this morning I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about how good the raw carrots sounded. (I've always liked them.. but not THAT much.) I had to break into my carrots at 10am! lol.

The other day I ate a bagel in the car for breakfast.....and then ate my lunch as soon as I got to school because I was still so hungry. So then I had to buy lunch in the cafeteria (which wasn't horrible because I loaded up with veggies from our salad bar).

Today I ate a chicken sandwich AND a cup of soup. I felt so embarrassed! I scarfed the sandwich down quickly because I had students in my room during lunch and I didn't want them to see how much food I was eating.

Can we talk about food, she asks...*drooling like Homer Simpson*

I go back and forth between starving like I'm going to pass out and then feeling like I'm going to puke. This pregnancy is so bi-polar for me.

And Amy, I ate half of my lunch on the way to work today too =)
