Hi moms,

My name is Erica. I have an amazing 5 year old named Mark. I was pregnant in January but lost that baby in March. We just learned we are pregnant again after a few months of effort (I almost asked for chlomid), and I was waiting til Thursday's appointment to post here with an ultrasound and confidence. However, yesterday at work I started to bleed. I freaked out, tried desperately to get into my doctor and confessed the pregnancy to my parents because I needed their help.

We were intentionally NOT telling our parents because the last pregnancy was announced by my FIL within minutes of our phone call to the entire extended family. Losing it was that much harder and i didnt feel it was fair for me to have to un-tell so many people. We agreed that we could not tell one set of parents without telling the other, but my dad is also my employer so I can't really stay home without his acknowledgement.

So, I stayed home today and my mom insisted on driving me to the appointment since my husband couldn't get there today. I am so relieved to share that we have seen a heartbeat, we are 7w5d (a couple days past the last one even!) and we have a little Junebug due the 23rd. And now, because of my age (37), weight, history of miscarriage and bleeding status, I will have weekly appointments for a while til the doc is ok with the progression of things.

So, my next appt is the 18th and with lots of positive thoughts, I will be here for a while.... Good luck everyone!

Welcome and praying for a healthy 9 months for you! I am sorry about your miscarriage- after losing our little boy (stillborn at 23 weeks), I waited until 18 weeks to announce on FB with my daughter. I am not waiting that long this time, though.

Annalise is hoping to be a big sister on June 28, 2014. Forever missing her big brother, Matthew, stillborn on July 1, 2010.

Welcome and congrats!! I too lost one in March at 11 weeks. It is so nerve wracking to go through the early days again when you know how easily it can all come crashing down. I hope we all get to stay here until our sweet little ones are in our arms.

Cautiously expecting a little one sometime in June, and always remembering my 5 little ones that left too soon.
