I hiked my booty on over to urgent care yesterday because my midwife couldn't get me in any sooner. We tried to find Ducky on the doppler but couldn't, so I was sent for an ultrasound. I had both an abdominal and vaginal, but I didn't get to see anything and the u/s tech couldn't tell me anything. Doctor looked them over and told me my due date is June 26th according to the size, and that little Duck is right where they need to be and just enjoying making me really sick.

It was scary though. The nurse came in with the doppler and straight up told me, "We aren't going to hear the heartbeat. I don't know why the doctor wants me to do this because it's too early, and I don't want you to feel upset when we don't hear it." and I said yeah okay, but when the time came and we really didn't hear it, my heart rate started going crazy!! And it didn't help that the u/s tech didn't tell me anything, either. Ugh!!

I do have a UTI so I got put on medication for that. When I expressed my doubts on even being able to keep those pills down, the dr. gave me a script for Zofran. Took it last night and was able to eat dinner and treat myself to some raspberry lemonade. Today, I actually got to walk my son to school without being hunched over and begging the boys to go faster so I could hurry back to the couch. I'm actually *sitting up* right now!

So I don't have a cool u/s pic to share, no heartbeat news because they couldn't pick it up, but I still have a regular appointment on the 20th so maybe that will have more fun stuff to share. I'm just happy that baby is looking good so far! (and that I'm two days closer to the end of this awful trimester! )

Ry, happily engaged to Zach.

Aw, sorry they couldn't tell you much. Maybe because it was urgent care?
I'm glad all is OK, though.

I'm glad you at least got some reassurance that everything looks good with Ducky even though they didn't show you anything. I can't believe once they saw everything looked great that they wouldn't show you the screen or even give you a picture. That's just cruel! I'm glad to hear the Zofran is working for you and you're feeling better. Can't wait to hear your update on the 20th!!!
