I read another thread where I read people didn't have air conditioning, which was common. It's winter now so that's not applicable but it got me wondering. I've lived my whole life in Florida where it doesn't get that cold for very long. I also saw where Jackie uses a wood stove to heat their house.

So, how do you heat your home?

We have central heat and air (electric) which has vents that either on the ceiling or at the very top of the walls.

As a young child, in a tiny house, we had space heaters (electric) and one kerosene heater that was used on the coldest nights.

Central heat & air. We live in an apartment and it's all electric so we don't have a gas bill.

My school turns 50 years old this year. We use a furnace which runs on some type of fuel. I forget which kind.

We have a big old 3 story house so we have the gas furnace set at 63ish and space heaters for the rooms we spend the most time in.

My house has baseboard heating in every room with three separate thermostats so we can keep the least used rooms cooler.

We have electric central heat and air. Our vents are in the floor though, but my parents are ceiling and high on the walls.

We have central air and heat....we live in Louisiana and I would DIE w/o the a/c....it gets so hot and humid here...can't wait until we move!! When we were stationed at Vandenberg (near Santa Barbara) none of the houses had a/c because it stayed around 70 year round....when it got into the 80's it was considered a "heat wave"!

My apartment has central heat/air. But it is controlled so they turn it on at the same time every year. So when it starts to get warm in the late spring and early summer, because I live on the top floor, I'm pretty much naked and sweaty for days until they switch over to A/C.

Then in late fall and winter when the weather starts cooling down, I have to turn on the oven for a bit until they switch to heat.
