Instead of getting better, the swelling has been much WORSE since I gave birth. I guess it's common, especially after a C-section because of all the fluids and such but this is ridiculous! My incision is healing nicely but it hurts to walk because of my feet.

I know you don't know what my foot looks like normally but I think it's bad enough you can tell in the photo:

Honestly I don't know if the pic even does it justice. If I stand or sit for a bit, the swelling moves up my legs and into my thighs even. I can barely move my toes.

Is anyone else suffering from swelling? Did you have a section or vaginal birth? Anything you've found helps?

My swelling was terrible after my csection with DD. It's all the fluids they give you. Women in labor are given bag after bag. If you ask for an epidural, you're given a fluid bag pushed into your body in 10-15 minutes. Then if you end up needing a csection, you're given another bag or two pushed into your system in 10-15 minutes. That's on top of the fluids you've been receiving throughout your labor. It's normal, but so miserable. I basically just kept my feet up for a few days until it went away. I wasn't expecting it either because no one told me about it and it was not a pleasant surprise lol.

I had a vbac with my son and my swelling was nil compared to what I went through with the csection. I got the fluids with my epidural and was given fluids throughout my much shorter labor. Almost no swelling afterwards. Just a tiny bit in my hands and feet and that was it.

I had a vaginal birth and my feet were swollen for about 8 days after delivery. I read it was normal. I just drank as much water as I could. I never had time to put them up but it probably would have helped since they seemed better in the mornings. Good luck, those look painful!

I had a vaginal delivery and also had VERY swollen feet and ankles. I have very bony feet and ankles normally, and when they were swollen I could actually feel the fluids in my feet slosh around when I walked. It was gross.
Drink a lot of water, and (easier said than done) but put your feet up as much as possible. What did it for me was at home, at night sleeping in bed, I kept my feet elevated for a few nights. I just folded up some blankets and put them under my feet and lower legs. My swelling went away after that.
Good luck!!

It's been 12 days and they are not much better. It's taking a LONG time.
