How are you planning to give birth. Natural, Meds, Cesarean?

More than likely I'll have another Cesarean. I'm not looking forward to it, but my body just doesn't cooperate, or my babies didn't. Le sigh.

I've planned two homebirths (#3 and 4). My youngest was born at home. I would have liked to plan another, but the midwife I wanted to use that takes my insurance is taking the month of December off. So I'll likely plan to birth at a free-standing birth center down the street (literally).

No clue. If I can't find a new doctor who takes my insurance I'll have to stay with the guy who delivered my last two and he told me after my youngest son that if I had another it would have to be a c-section. I deeply do NOT want a c-section so I'm trying to find a new doctor.

Yes it is I am scared as well. I am not scared of recovery just of the operation, I wish they could just put me to sleep or something. With my third it took me 1 week to feel normal, with the first 2 I was fine as soon I as I got off the bed the next day.
This will defiantly be my last, I will get my tubes tied one way or another or I am never having sex again. lol

If history repeats itself I will most likely be induced two weeks early but I really would like to go into labor myself this time. I'm on the fence about the meds, my last two were without epidural because my first Dr refused to give me one and the second time i progressed to quickly one they would finally give me one... so I don't know may just have this baby to without it.

I hear ya! My recoveries haven't been too bad, but man, they could have been a whole lot better too. I think with my youngest, it was the easiest, maybe because I realized I should take advantage of the time I'm in the hospital. Although I did learn that it gets harder for me after I go home, because I like to have the dishes done and the house clean. Not to mention that I get super cranky after having a baby, it's tough work!

I am also hoping for another vaginal birth with meds. I know I am not strong enough to handle one without meds. I am a weeny!

Vaginal with an epi. Both previous births have been that way and both have also been inductions. I'm really hoping I go naturally so I can have that experience at least once!

Me too! My last two births were induced and so I am hoping to hold out as long as possible and go on my own this time.

This will be my 5th c-section. Wow! That seems crazy! My doc told me 4 was pushing it, so I wonder what he'll say this time!

I was 11 days overdue last time when I got induced and the only reason I was induced was because there was no fluid left. Hopefully I don't go over 11 days this time but I really want to avoid an induction!

I have had all three of my boys naturally. My daughter was my only epidural baby but I was 15 and scared to death. lol

The last one was a birthing center birth. I will be having this baby at the same center, so all natural for me again. Can't wait! I have never gone past 39 weeks 0 days so as long as I don't go over my due date I can have this one there. Chances are I will have gestational diabetes again and the birthing center will not allow you to deliver there after 40 weeks if you have GD. Boo.

If I stay low risk it will be with a midwife, naturally, in a birthing suite at the hospital

This is my first. I will plan on a natural birth with meds. Of course, that is as long as the stars all align for that. I know things can change frequently in the moment.

I have had miscarriages before and trouble getting pregnant. I've been seeing a fertility specialist who is also an OB. I'll be with him for sure for the first bit until we know this is a sticker - but by that time it will probably be too late to get a midwife. we only have a couple midwives in our city and they only take so many people per due month so they are hard to get. so I'll likely have to stay with the OB instead of a midwife. I think I'll hire a doula. I'd like to do things as natural as possible.in Ontario, Canada our public health care covers midwife services. nice, eh? but as I said there aren't many midwives. the midwives have hospital access and can also do home births.
