I'm so miserable. After dinner last night I started having contractions. On top of the contractions, baby was moving like crazy. Between him trying to push himself out and the tightening of my uterus I was so uncomfortable. I finally got the contractions to stop, but this kid just won't stop trying to kick and claw his way out. Seriously, all night long. My stomach is in knots from all of it. He finally has seemed to settle down for a bit, but I'm concerned we have a hyperactive child on our hands. Is there a such thing as too much movement?

I have my growth scan, NST, and appointment with the high risk doctor today. I'm hoping for all good news, but I'm exhausted and grumpy after such a miserable night. I'm so done, but I know he needs some more time in there. Mentally, this is killing me.

UPDATE:
Everything went well. Of course the little guy decided to calm down for the first time in over 24 hours during the second half of my NST, but he still passed. He's been doing great on the BPPs, as well. He is taking breaths and doing everything he should. The arrhythmia has been gone for over a week now. YAY! He weighed in at 6 lbs, 3 ounces. His head is still huge and greater than the 97th percentile. The high risk doctor was very pleased. He said that he just needs to stay in there for 11 more days, so he doesn't earn himself an automatic pass to the NICU. I am now down to once weekly NSTs and BPPs, and don't have to see my high risk doctor again for 2 1/2 weeks for one last growth scan (if we make it until then). I'm feeling good. I have 11 days in me. I can do this! Then no more bed rest and Operation Evict Baby begins!

*hugs*

I'm sorry you had such a rough night.

I hope you get some good news at your appointments today and that he settles down for a little bit - just under 2 weeks now until 37W!

I would be interested to know if baby's actions in the womb have any relation to how they behave once they are born.

I hope there is no relation because DS was very active in the womb and is still VERY active outside the womb. Penelope has proven to be an even bigger womb party animal. Makes me worried. LOL

I'm sorry you had such a rough night! You've done such a great job keeping this kiddo inside -- just a little bit longer! I hope you get some good new today.

I know exactly how you feel! I'm now torn between being done with this pregnancy and knowing that he needs to bake a few more weeks! Prayers for you to get some rest!

Any update from your appointment?

GingerBean is quie active all the time - I haven't really noticed any "sleep patterns" yet despite what all the books say, lol - if she is sleeping then it must be after I eventually fall asleep b/c when I am awake...she is also clearly awake!
