I looked up swollen feet in pregnancy and it said that it is normally a third trimester thing but commonly caused by flat feet being caused by the pregnancy well I've had flat feet always so I am wondering if this is causing the swelling. I was excited because yesterday my feet didn't swell and they were still not swollen this morning and now they are puffy as all hell and sore. I am wondering if they didn't swell yesterday because I used my balance ball for a chair most of the day yesterday until my back started to hurt.

It is just me this early? With my flat feet I can't wear flip flops all of the time.

Yep, mine have been swelling up for about a month now, especially when it is warm or I am on my feet a lot during the day. I have not been able to fit into my regular shoes at all for the past 2 weeks. I have never heard of flat feet making it worse but I do have flat feet and tend to get very swollen feet during pregnancy though I don't remember it ever starting this early in my past pregnancies.

Yep!! With the warm weather mine have been getting swollen. If I sit with my feet dangling at all, it gets a lot worse.

Yes mine swell too! And they are so sore as well! I wear flip flops a lot too but I noticed when I wear gym shoes they don't swell as much, doctor told me sitting down and not being active could cause me to swell

Not that I am happy that you all have swelling feet too, but it is good to know that it appears to be normal at this point.

My feet are definitely worse after I sit all day. Yesterday was a bad day because I drove the 45 minutes to the office then Rode the bus for almost 2 hours then sat all day only getting up to get my lunch or goto meetings, then reverse, bus, drive home, then I got home made dinner in between working and kept working until 11:00 pm. Not a lot of activity at all.

Ya! When I went to the zoo with Morgan, I was a giant balloon from the waist down for a few days! Once in a while ill get swollen feet but usually water and putting my feet up helps greatly.

I read somewhere, now I'll have to Google it, that if you eat iodized salt that can lead to swelling. But eating sea salt will actually help counteract the swelling!

Last month when I was on my trip, my feet and ankles swelled up from walking around all day....so definitely seems possible for the 2nd tri!! Just keep drinking water and prop your feet up when you can. I would wet some paper towels and drape them over my ankles to get some immediate relief, maybe that will help you for next time?

I've also heard that if you are in a time pinch that rubbing paper towel wet down with rubbing alcohol will also help the swelling go down.

No swollen feet here but they are getting soo sore and when I can put them up and rest them it feels like heaven lol. I've been giving myself foot massages (bf has a broken arm) and it feels wonderful too but I need to go get ba really good foot massage at a spa....that would be sooooo nice.

Mine swell if I sit all day like at work. If I'm active or have them raised at home then there is no swelling. Another reason to not like work

I am one of the lucky ones that has never had my feet swell with any of my babies. I am so thankful for that! My SIL's swell something awful and I feel so bad for her!

Mom to 4 beautiful kids! 3 on Earth and 1 in heaven. Our little girl, Matilda Hope had Down Syndrome. She was born with TMD, a disease that is like leukemia. She fought that and beat it. Then, she had liver failure. She beat that, too. On October 17, 2014 she had NEC, necrotizing enterocolitis. My baby went to Heaven on October 19, 2014. She lived exactly one month.
