I was looking for the nursery thread but I think it was discussed and never came to fruition. So here's my topic, I'll just keep updating.

I'll try and remember to get some more 'before' photos because it's still in it's infant state of progress. I'm just happy to have finally gotten started!

The Ikea dresser that will also double as a changing table is put together and ready to fill with stuff. It's this one:

And I finally decided on the main 'theme' fabric. So the room's color scheme will be based on this:

My mom is going to make the window treatment out of that fabric. And then we'll probably do coordinating solid colors for other things like crib bedding, changing pad cover, etc.

We're re-using DD's crib and glider which are white.

Slightly OT -- I feel like getting our guest room put together is also part of the whole nursery project, seeing as most of the junk stored in the will-be nursery really belongs in the guest room that has been unfurnished since we moved in.

Soooo... great progress has been made in there. It's been painted, new baseboards put in, and furniture coming!

We have a futon downstairs that we'll move up to serve as the guest bed. We got a new sofa ordered to go where the current futon is. It's this one but in a blueish gray:

This is the secretary for the guest room I got from West Elm which I have been obsessed with for years. It came this weekend and I LOVE. Right now it's the only piece of furniture in the room, but I'm thinking I may also have to have the matching dresser. I need a coupon though. If anyone happens to have a West Elm 20% code, please share! LOL.

In getting that big secretary delivered this weekend, we had to take down our baby gates. We decided to leave them off until DD#2 starts climbing. It's such a weird feeling not having them there after so long!

I think that's it for now. I have to reign in the shopping.

Oh, and I'm still trying to sell DD's old nursery stuff. Here's the CL post. I'd be happy to ship if anyone is interested. MMARO.

DD - Nov '11

DD#2 - EDD 9/29

I think it is going to look lovely! I am jealous of the mamas that have a nursery to decorate so I will have to live vicariously through you! My daughter is excited about redoing her room when we move my 2yo DS into the big boys room and at a year or so move Adrianna in with her. She says she wants to make it the girliest blingiest room ever lol!

Oooo! I love your choices! Just my style

I have been trying to get our Pregnancy Journal board switched so it also has nurseries, baby gear, DIY/craft stuff, but they haven't changed the description yet!

I like the fabric - it reminds me of scrapbook paper
