I had pretty bad back pain yesterday and today its so much worse Im in tears. Nothing Im doing is working I've tried heating pad, back massage, rocking, changing positions, and drinking water. Also today Im having strange vaginal pains and loose stool. My mom who is a nurse is pressuring me to go in (Because she had preterm labor with all four of her pregnancies). I dont want to go in I definitely feel like something isnt right but at the same time I dont want to be stupid and bother people if its nothing or seem like a hypochondriac.

Call in and see what they say, they may say come in and get checked out, or at least tell you what you could do for some relief.

If your pain is bringing you to tears and you don't have any other explanation for your back pain (like a herniated disc or something), I probably would go in or call. I hope everything is ok and you can get some relief.

Any pain that brings you to tears would warrant a call to the doctor. I'm sorry you're hurting, I hope you feel better!

Went in l/d no contractions. Lots of blood and sugar in my urine. Dr said it looks like Im going to pass a kidney stone and that is the back pain Im feeling. I have to follow up with my normal ob and do a fasting test but they seemed pretty convinced I have gestational diabetes with the sugar levels they saw. :c

Sorry to hear that, but glad it isn't preterm labor. I had GD with my last pregnancy and have to go for my test after vacation in two weeks. There are already some mommies on here that have it, so you're in good company. I hope you pass that stone soon so you can get relief for your back.

Ugh no fun!!! When do you go in for your follow up?

I've never had kidney stones, but I've heard they are HORRIBLE!

I have an appt that was already scheduled for today later in the afternoon so I just called and asked if they wanted me to fast or not. Waiting for the nurse to call me back. Its really stressing me out gd scares the crap out of me. My friend just had a baby three months ago via elective csection and baby girl had to go straight to the nicu because her sugars where so high and she started to crash. Momma didnt get to see baby until the next day. She did not manage her gd very well though. If I am diagnosed Im going to take this 100% serious because I will be a raving lunatic if they have to take my baby from me.

Thanks ladies apt went okay. They were slammed so dr said they couldnt do the glucose today. Scheduled to have it done four weeks from now she said its really early to have gd and that I am still under my pre-pregnancy weight by four pounds, but sugar in the urine isnt a good sign. So she said just in case try and not eat sugar at all and lots of small meals a day and a small carb in the middle of the night. Heres hoping Im not but I've already started following a gd friendly meal plan today and I feel not so tired and foggy headed.
