So I have mentioned that I've been having irregular contractions for 3-4 days now... some painful, some not. Tonight... my right side is KILLING me. I can tell that she is on that side (and she usually isn't). There is pain and pressure in my lower back and my left side is tight when I feel the pain, too. At first I was just saying the pain was from her being on my right side and me not being used to it but what are the chances these are real contractions?

I wasn't timing them before and now that I'm trying of course they're fizzling. I'm doubting they're real contractions cause it is higher up in my abdomen and sides... only low in the back. Just a ton of pressure.

Sorry you are in pain! I wish I had something to compare this to. I had induced labor and never even had a Braxton hicks with Rowan. This time I'm def feeling it and today I've had horrible pains in my left side and lower back! If you can't really time them, I'd say it's your body's way of practicing for the real deal! Keep us updated on how you feel! Unfortunately these pains can last while when you're so close to the end like this!

If your stomach gets super tight, then yes... It's a contraction. I say time them, 40 seconds or more and 6 in an hour... Go to the hospital. I was glad that I did because before I knew it, they were 2-3 minutes apart and I was getting mag drip. I wasn't sure if I should have went, but I'm glad I did!!! Plus: u only have 2 weeks left!!! It might start getting worse!

I'm gonna time them. So far they're pretty regular but pretty spaced out. kind of long though.. or maybe just the pain is lingering.

Hang in there, hopefully it means she's coming! If they are lasting 60-90 seconds, that is good! It means they are probably the real deal and not BH.

But if its a constant pain, she could just be sitting on a nerve.

Keep us updated!

I slept through most of the night but they're still there this morning. I haven't timed them yet this morning, and the pain/pressure has moved lower with sporadic shooting pains (not the same as cervix 'kicks' but somewhat similar) down low. Like period cramps almost. I'm gonna see if they get closer/more intense and if not, I'll just wait until my appt tomorrow at 1:45 and let my midwife check me.

I'd definitely time them. You're full term now. Mine were irregular at first in early early labor but after timing them I realized they were slowly getting closer together and then they jumped to being completely regular and 5 minutes apart.

Oh man, I hope they don't last for weeks! I'm cleaning the apt today so the pain isn't THAT bad..I have to sit down every once in a while but.. every once in a while it feels like the muscles in my lower abdomen are tearing and almost a constipated feeling in my lower back.

Things sound so promising that you're on your way to having this baby sooner rather than later!
