Laying with my sweet 15 month old as he sleeps and it dawns on me that I only have 2 weeks until he isn't the baby of the family anymore.

And then the tears come.....

I feel like he didn't get enough time to be the center of attention. I am so attached to Grayson and he is attached to me. We're pals. I mean, I love all my kids the same, but my relationship with him is unique. I am mad at myself for getting pregnant so soon after he was born.

Sorry just had to vent that so I can sleep

Mom guilt is the worst!

Isn't he cute?

he's so adorable you don't have to feel guilty at all for getting pregnant again! but then again i know how you feel because i have felt very much the same way throughout the whole pregnancy, looking at the bright side their age gap will be small and i'm sure you will have more fun with him and the new baby that way

He's super cute . He'll continue to be the apple of your eye because you are aware of how this new baby will impact him. 2 and 3 are 17 mos apart and I had similar guilt. Thankfully they are too young to know!

He is adorable! and I know how you feel I have a 21 month old and I wasn't planning on any more kids or atleast so close... but xzippedx makes a good point... the closeness in age will be wonderful for them

He's so cute! And he's also very resilient! I had the same fears after darn near every kid. They've all been fine. I've just tried to make sure that I still focus on them while helping them establish a bond with the new baby. Also, I understand the different bond/relationship...I have a similar thing with ds3. Dd2 was born when he was 10.5 months old. That bond between us is still there, even at his current age of 8. Also, while all my kids are pretty close, the ones who are closer in age (my 10, 8, and 7 year olds) have an especially close relationship. Your timing could work out to your kids advantage!

Oh my goodness! What a sweetie!

The mommy guilt is so normal, and SO much worse when we're at the stage of hormonal chaos. My DD is almost 3 and I worry that she is going to take the baby's arrival hard... but then again, I thought all the other things like, moving her into a new room new bed, etc would be hard on her, and it hasn't!

Our kiddos will be just fine. We're all doing the best job we can!

You are very lucky...such adorable baby and now getting second one coming in.

Think in this way....it will be not just one but 2 super cute babies....and they will both be your center of attraction. Every baby is very precious and unique....very special !! You both will have great fun time looking after and playing with the new baby

He's a cutie! I think most of us feel some guilt when a new baby is coming, no matter the age of the older child or children. I definitely did when I was having my 2nd and my older son was 3! I have no doubt that having a sibling has been more beneficial to him though.

You guys are awesome. I feel better this morning. Must be a combination of lack of sleep and seemingly incessant contractions. It is making me extra EXTRA emotional lately.

Although after posting that.. I will admit, I grabbed all my scrapbooks down from my closet for all my kids and had a good cry sesh LOL

You would be weird if you didn't worry! All moms feel that way. You won't even worry about it anymore once the baby gets here.
