Hi ladies,

Looks like I'm due January 4. I'm 8 days late and had 3 faint bfps last week. I'm on antibiotic for a bad cough and cold from my gp. It's ammoxicilian so it's supposed to be ok. I've been lightly spotting for 3 days and I'm scheduled for my first appt with OB on Monday. From what I'm reading its normal to spot this week. I tested this morning not first urine and it was still a faint line. On top of it I think I'm getting a yeast infection. The spotting has me nervous. I don't recall that with DS.

Thoughts?

I have heard it's normal to spot with implantation bleeding and all... some women have told me that this bleeding isn't always light, either. But I suppose having an appt will help confirm that everything is a-ok normal and that you are just fine!

I haven't spotted myself, but I am sure I would feel the exact same way if I were.

I've been told the color has a lot to do with it too. I've been spotting since Saturday with brown. It's off and on but not enough for a pad or anything. Implantation and shifting up there have a lot to do with it, too!

The spotting could be from the yeast infection. Information from "Dr. Google" -- Symptoms of a yeast infection in women can produce a brown vag discharge but they're usually white like cottage cheese. However the severity and the timing around your menstrual cycle might alter the color.

I personally have never been able to avoid getting a yeast infection when taking antibiotics. I eat yogurt with live cultures and all that good stuff but I still get one every time. Please keep us updated on how your appointment goes on Mon. T&P that everything is good with you and your tiny little one ((hugs))

Thanks ladies. I started bleeding today like a period. I took a test and still a very faint line. If I miscarried would the line go away right away? I'm going to call the dr when they open.

I would guess it'd take a little while for the line to go away, because the hormones wouldn't leave your bloodstream immediately. Hope the doctor can tell you what's up! Fingers crossed for you.
