Ok so with DD I was SO un-prepared & clueless!!!
I was a single first time mum-to-be & when I was in the hospital I hardly packed anything...there was the mum in the bed next to me all comfy with pj pants & robe, blankets etc. & me in the nasty hospital gown & thats it LOL...then I didn't have a clue how to change a diaper...omg I was so lost!

So this time I def plan to pack a better hospital bag to make sure I'm as comfy as possible...of course I'm a pro at diaper changing now....but I also plan to try harder to breastfeed & may take a class...altho it wasn't my fault last time, for whatever reason I didn't produce ANY milk my boobs didn't even get big LOL. I was dumb tho & too nervous to ask the nurses questions like if there was a way to stimulate my breasts to produce milk...instead I just readily accepted the formula because my DD was crying non stop while the baby next to me was sleeping peacefully LOL...mind you this was the lady's 3rd child!

Also plan to make the most of my fiance

What do you plan to do different, if anything?

Breastfeed. Not announce a name to family or friends until after the BC is signed, and not find out the gender. I don't know if hubby is on board with that though. All I know is naming both our kids was a huge pain in the *** for me, not because of hubby, but his family couldn't stay out of it.

Not really. I feel like my last pregnancy/birth/mothering technique has gone well, so I'll stick to that.

The best part of having multiple kids is I won't be worried as much. It's nice to feel like a pro. lol

Ditto ^ this is #4 and I do things by what I think is good for me and my family not according to what "other moms" say I should so It works, I feel great and will keep it up
That being said after my first there were things I wanted to do different because I was pressured by " other moms" with her.

I'm not planning anything different here. I agree, the more kids you have the more relaxed you are about everything. I'm comfortable doing what I feel is right and not worried about what others think. That makes a huge difference. It's easy for first time moms to fall in the trap of taking the wrong advice because it's given so often.

Hmm the only thing different here is not finding out sex or telling the name to anyone (maybe on here MAYBE) until the baby is born. Also, I will not feel bad, and I will have the nurse take the baby into the nursery for the night while I am recovering from my c/s last time, I made a big mistake not doing that! haha.

When I get home. i WILL ask for help instead of trying to do everything myself.

I am definitely going to breastfeed the first 6 months. With my other 3 kiddos I only last a month or so. I am also packing my own hospital gown. There are hospital gowns you can order online that open in the back just like the gowns you have to wear in the hospital, but these are pretty So I want to deliver in ky own gown that DH and I pick out.

Won't do anything different this time. I have been a mom for 22 years and this is baby number 5... I am pretty confident in what works or doesn't work for us.

I take that back... I now have a midwife not an OB/GYN to hopefully have more of the birth I want.

On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. She was our 8th loss Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn

We are going to be team green for the first time! And I think that's it names are open no one will steal my names cause nobody likes them, and I'm ok with that I will continue to do what best for each child because although they are siblings every child is different
