I went to the er for spotting. They did a beta which was 3,000 an a ultrasound which showed a circle with black nothingness in it. They didn't give me a ultrasound picture to show you. My last 2 or 3 cycles were 30 days long, but I had just got off of BC in feb so my cycles were not exactly regular. Based off of my last menstrual period with a 30 day cycle, my due date should be Jan 30th, assuming I O'ed on day 14. Which is just a stab in the dark because I wasn't tracking it. I read that a beta of at least 1,000-2,000 should show a gestational sac. I remember seeing what a gestational sac looked like with my son, but not until 6 weeks. I had a u/s at 5 and 6 weeks. The one I just had doesn't look like either of those. And I've known I was pregnant for a 9 days now, so I couldn't be only 3 weeks. That leaves me being at 4 weeks, approximately Feb 6th. If I was 3 weeks when I found out I can't believe my FRER was blazing.
I have a repeat beta on monday and the dr there said I need to call back my OB and ask for a earlier appointment for a repeat ultrasound. That's going to be interesting. They said they were already booked up. I just want to know what the due date is going to be and be done with the 1st trimester!! So nerve racking.
Our first u/s was at five weeks and it was just a circle with a little smudge in one spot ... the one a week later showed the bigger smudge and you could see the heart flickering. So that early it wouldn't look like much. Your number is a good one. Sending you lots of baby sticking energies!
My second hcg level was 4000 in a little under 48 hours. I'm not spotting anymore. They are re-testing it tomorrow.
I was not expecting that. My hcg has always over doubled with my other pregnancies. I guess that explains why I don't feel *that* pregnant. I feel a little sicker everyday, but nothing compared to how sick I was with my first two.
