I just jumped off that boat last night thank God. My OBGYN told me to take a stool softener everyday and the one I got was the Walmart brand because they were out of everything else and it says to take 1-3 and I took 3 a day for 3 days and then she also told me I could do 1 Fleet Enema. Grapes and watermelon will also make you go. It took about 3 days for everything to kick in but i am so grateful I finally went. I was really debating going to the ER I couldn't eat anymore I wasn't hungry.

I talked to my Ob yesterday at my appointment and she said I could take Miralax (i had already looked online and taken it twice) but it helped me alot. Lots of fruits & water have helped me too. Hope you get some relief soon!

i talked to my obgyn about the same thing. she recommended COLACE. you can get it over the shelf...but its really gentle. (this coming from someone that has side effects with everything i take).

TMI-i asked her specifically if this was going to make everything pure liquid/lava out your butt or just soften things....and she said just soften. they dont want it to go to pure liquid because it puts too much pressure on your uterus which clearly we dont want.

hope this helps! im shocked youve gone 2 weeks...i couldnt have gone that long!!

This may sound gross but get a rectal glycerin suppressant.. FYI i take one about every 2 - 3 days and it takes only about 5 minutes, but says 15 minutes to 1 hour. if u take it make sure you are close to a bathroom and take it at home.. Also Milk of Magnesia (i get mint flavored). i take 3 tbsp every 2 days, it will give you diarrhea, but i get badddd cramps after 2 - 3 days so i have to do something or i will lay in a ball and cry

Maybe try a deeper potty squat? Positioning makes all the difference in the world. We have three potties in the house and I can only 'go' on one because it's shorter. (Luckily it's the one in my bathroom!) I also use a stool to slightly elevate my feet. (a nursing stool) Quite honestly, I don't think we were meant to do our business sitting down - I think we are designed to squat.

I just drink TONS of water and make sure I get some good exercise every day when I'm not feeling too sick. I wouldn't call myself REGULAR (I am only going once over two days or so) but I am not painfully constipated. Just mildly uncomfortable.

I've only gone 5 times in the past month but am not comfortable taking medicine. I eat prunes, grapes, watermelon, drink water and nothing.
