With my PCOS and irregular cycles, I have no idea when I ovulated or conceived. My first sono they gave me the due date at Jan. 22nd from gestational sac. at 6w5d I was measuring a week further than that. I had a sono last wednesday at exactly 12 weeks and I was measuring 13w 2d.. Last appt, my midiwife wasn't going to change my due date but I am wondering with measuring over a week ahead if they should consider it. Thoughts? Anyone else going through this?

I measured a week ahead all through my first pregnancy. One week isn't a big deal, and they won't change the due date for that. I ended up going a week past my due date.

Meh, if your going natural birth exact due date isn't really important.

The further along you are the more inaccurate the dates are too

Thanks guys. Due date isn't really important for most but I had a 2 hr start to finish labor last time. My hospital is an hour away so to me, I'd like to have some idea when. My other two didn't measure ahead and I went over 5days/3days with them. Just wondered how it worked.

You may have a better idea moving forward when they do tests like things for gender and fluid levels. It may be that they are always off though! I had a VERY fast labor last time as well so I hear you. What was your last labor like besides the length of time? How early/late were you? Same father of both babies?

I will be interested to see what they say for you

I only had an estimate with my first. He measured big through most of the pregnancy, and I wound up going into labor a few days before my EDD. I'd just take your due date as more of an estimate and be prepared for it to happen a couple weeks before or after.

I have been told that Due Date is most accurate during the later part of the first trimester.

I have had 2 ultrasounds and the 2nd one I measured a week ahead of the first one. They aren't changing it, but for my own sanity, I go by the 2nd date because that one matches my ovulation exactly, plus they had a very hard time getting a good measurement at my first one because my uterus was tipped. I don't worry about it. The baby will come when it's ready anyway.

My son (ahhh so weird to say that!) is measuring 1 week + 1 day ahead as of last night. My daughter also measured ahead and was born 3 days before her original due date that was determined at an early dating ultrasound.
