so--i FINALLY have my anatomy scan tomorrow! so excited! but i was wondering, is it a good idea to drink juice or a small coke before the appt to get them moving? or no, because then they are too hyper and wont stay still for pictures? what have you found works best?
I didn't drink anything before mine and baby was flipping around like crazy so the ultrasound lady had to work hard to get a picture. Some people say drink apple juice to make sure the baby is moving though.
You don't have to go with a full bladder??? I do, that sucks lol. Last time I drank coffee on the way there bc it was morning. They got good shots and he was moving like crazy!
Good luckkk so excited for you!

I've always had to drink something like 24 oz of water an hour before my appointment. I usually do drink 6-8 oz of juice and the rest water just to help the baby want to wiggle a bit. I do remember reading not to drink anything carbonatated though so maybe skip the soda and drink juice or lemonade or something.
i called the office to make sure...they dont require a full bladder at their office. thank goodness!! with my constant sneezing and getting over the last of broncitis and coughing...that might be interesting to say the least. hehe.
You don't have to have a full bladder? I'm so jealous. I always have to pee so bad that it hurts. There is a bathroom next to the ultrasound room and the second I'm done, I make a beeline for the bathroom.
When I scheduled my elective they told us that I should drink some apple juice or something right before to get the baby moving. I ate a hot fudge sundae (something sweet is supposed to do) and that did not do the job cause she still did not want to move.
Good luck on baby being a boy.!! Cannot wait to hear.
