I was told I had some protein in my urine with my youngest but my doc didn't seem concerned and when I went back the following month I was fine. She never had me do a 24 hr test. Not sure what caused it for me and since my doc seemed ok I didn't worry. I trust her so I didn't raise questions. If your concerned you should definitely call your doc and see if you can get more answers to put your mind at ease.
I did one in the first tri because I have a history of borderline pre eclampsia. They just wanted to have a baseline to test against for the future, could be something simple as that! Try not to stress..
