It seems that many are impacted by this government shutdown. We are military and although the military is supposed to get paid there are many other places that are connected to the military that are not. We are not 100% impacted by it but I am sure as time goes on the stuff is only going to get worse. My mom has since lost her job basically because she was a civilian working a military job.

Weirdly my daughters home school program was some what effected by it. It's a public school program so I guess it would be. Some links and things she needed were not available and we got an email saying they may not. My husbands paycheck may be effected. His company has a contract with FHA and I have no clue what's going to happen. I advised our landlord about it since rent is due by tomorrow. She made the stupid comment that she doesn't think it's effecting pay checks yet. Umm.. It's effecting a lot of crap fast and his paycheck could indeed be one of them.

Hoping this doesnt last too long or affect my husband's status.... I swear if he were to get deported when his visa expires, i likely will go into preterm labor and have a complete meltdown. *Crossing my fingers* hopefully it wont be the case. Currently, my biggest fear.

He can but he doesnt want to (or at least not at the moment) we're just trying to get his green card for now, as we may end up moving to the Netherlands and living there for a few years while our daughter is still young and then we'll decide from there whether he will get dual citizenship or not (i will be keeping my American citizenship as well as applying for my Dutch citizenship in time).
His student visa expires January 6th, 2014 though so this all needs to be straightened out by then. We have been working with lawyers for the past 6 months or so but they JUST sent the paperwork in and they said it can take 3-4 months so with this shutdown, im not sure how all this will play out... As if i needed the extra stress!
