So on August 27th at around 9:15 p.m., I started having mild contractions. They started out being 14-20 minutes apart and by midnight, they were 4-8 minutes apart. I called l&d and expressed to them that I was too uncomfortable to wait until' they were closer together, so they paged a doctor and he responded within 15 minutes. I told him how I was feeling and he made it clear that I would be admitted that night. I called my mom to come get me around 1:30 and we headed to the hospital. When I got there I was sent to triage and of course my contractions started getting further apart. I was convinced they were going to send me home but since I made cervical progress they decided to admit me. I was 2/12-3 cm and 85 percent effaced were before I was only 60 percent effaced and not dilated at all. They broke my bag of water and they started getting stronger and closer together. The next several hours was torture. I experienced the worst back labor ever. I opted for an epidural but was denied it because of my scoliosis. I was so hurt, all I could think of was how I was going to get through it all. Due to the amount of pain I was in they decided to check me and I was at a 4 but my cervix was swollen so that explained the pain. To make a long story short, I had to have an emergency c-section under general anesthesia. I woke up a mom, which was kinda weird. Lol. She is such a beautiful little baby and I can't wait to create memories with her. Sorry I had to shorten my story a bit, she keeps me very busy. Pics will be up soon!
