So I have 2 girls and one boy. All fixed. The girls never seem sexual while the male will take advantage of pillows on occasion ew.
Anyway, there is a cat who comes howling and moaning I guess in heat. I assumed it was female but looked it up and it said it could be male? Thoughts? And why come howling at the fixed cats house?

I think howling is mostly an unneutered male cat thing...no idea why he's checking out your lady cats tho lol, if you had a cat in heat that would make more sense. Possibly he's looking to brawl with your male cat? I think male cats (esp not fixed) might have a wide ranging "territory" of a block or more they think is their turf...

It sounds like a territorial thing. Kitty doesn't go outside at all but I had her fixed anyway. There is a tomcat that comes yowling around the neighborhood some nights .. he's looking.

I dont know why i always thought it was female cats. then I realized I had no real reasoning behind that so I thought I would ask LOL!

I know we have at least two Tom cats out there. The behind me neighbors didn't fix their cat because "it's more natural" not to I want to trap him and fix him so badly.
And the bastards pee all over my backyard. My boy is barely a year but he will be a brawler. I hope he kicks their ***.

Thanks ladies! i knew you all would know!!

LMAO little furry bulimics.

Gross. If Kitty threw up all over the place she'd be an instant outdoor cat. The only thing she does that drives me crazy (well aside from when she tries to kill me... if you ever see a news flash of a woman killed by her cat and eaten by her german shepherd that'll be me) is it never fails.. as soon as I start cooking she'll go use the litter box. Which is in another room but she can stink up our entire two story home omg.

I dunno if your puking cats are indoor or outdoor? Are they puking up just water, just food, or anything that looks like hairball?

If outdoor and you notice them eating grass their tummies are upset usually...might recheck food.

If puking only water, some cats go nuts drinking sometimes & overdo (and then puke)...but it can also be a sign of kidney failure - we just lost our sweet cat to sudden kidney failure last Sun and his first symptom although we didn't recognize it as such initially was overdrinking and then puking water. When kidneys fail toxins build up in their stomach and they quit eating too (and puke more)...

Hairball is always the most likely culprit though of puking, and sometimes it takes them a few times puking to get it all out. Usually you'll notice it around change in seasons when they shed coats & end up getting more in their tummy

Mine are outdoor (supposed to be indoor but once one got out, they all rebelled). They are lazy fat girls who eat too much I think (one more than the other). The puke looks like their food not even chewed. So gross. BUT thats the only thing they do that annoys me. They are such sweethearts.
My boy doesn't puke but he's an ***.

Mine is indoor and is bulimic! lol It's food and hairballs lately. She has been on the same expensive food for 3 years so that hasn't changed. Maybe just shedding more because of spring so puking more? Even my dogs (who will eat poop) are grossed out by her puke! They walk around it by atleast 2 ft. wont even look at it.

So I felt bad and let Kitty out into the backyard while I had a coffee on the patio. We have a very sealed in yard thanks to the privacy fence. Nonetheless she had supervised prison time outdoors lol!

Gretchen - sounds as though she must have a really acidic tummy.
