After a long stressful week.... I have one 24 hour shift standing in between me and a campsite at the lake...

Any of y'all like to camp?

YES! I joke that we are professional campers, and I'm sorta not kidding. We have a garage filled with gear, 4 different types of tents and we've roughed it enough to go a week without showering (when we did the Blue Ridge Parkway). We did about 4 weeks of camping from Indiana, to the Northeast area, down through the Blue Ridge Parkway and Smoky Mountains to home

We camp every year and one day I'll do the Appalachian Trail. I'm super determined to do it

Ah, Jen...Big Bend is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I LOVE camping...DH and I used to go just about every weekend (camping and canoeing). Adding kids to the mix has slowed us down a bit, but we are currently tent-shopping for a tent that will accommodate all of us so we can get the whole family out.

Our last big trip was in Utah for 2 weeks when I was 27-28 weeks pregnant with Claire. It was gorgeous during the day, but we always had ice on the tent when we woke in the morning.

Starlitnite, have fun! Post pics if you can!

We LOVE camping too. We've mostly camp next to white water rivers because we white water kayak. We kayak about 25 weekends a year and always camp.

We have also camped at the beach on the beach for a week at a time with no facilities. WE ARE HARDCORE! lol

One time just DH and I camped at a start park on 3ft of snow in the middle of the winter and then snowboarded all day the next day. Believe it or not we weren't even cold. We just slept in our snowboarding gear and had a fire outside the tent on the snow.

DS loves it too now and we take our dogs and we all come home a mess. We have a big raft too that we will go down rivers on with all of us our dogs. I am not sure how all of that is going to work with twins? I suppose I will kayak one day while DH watches babies and he will kayak the other day till the get big enough to get in the raft and we will raft as a family. We prefer kayaking over rafting though.

Melissa, we have a special place for camping and hiking in Utah considering we got engaged on a hike in Utah <3.

We have yet to do Big Ben, but we have friends that loved it and recommended it. I'm super excited and wish summers in Big Bend weren't quite so hot and made it easier to go sooner!

We camp, but not in all the cool places you guys go!! lol
We have a nice sized camper, and we go on vacations with it usually. Niagara Falls, amusement parks, state parks, new england, wash dc. Those are the ones we can make it to!
I can't wait to get going for the year!

I actually prefer tent camping...that's how we did it growing up, and we didn't even have Thermarests!

I had no clue we had so many outdoorsy girls on here...I love it. Feel free to share camping pics, ideas for campfire meals, your favorite gear, etc.

For DTD, it all depends on where you are camping! At our favorite place in Colorado, we can go a week without seeing any other human beings. I guess we could be offending the chipmunks, though

We love camping!!!! We go by ourselves or when we have my kids. Not his kids though. They hate anything outdoors. They won't even eat bacon.

So yeah we love to camp! We go to Land Between the Lakes with no facilities lol camp on a trail somewhere, fish, cookout. Hubby wants to get mattresses. I don't care either way.

I was referring to ATV but that kind of 4wheeling works too. Going out west for the two weeks to all the parks and kayaking all the Class IV rivers is my dream trip.

Where is Big Bend at?
