for moms of younger kids are they getting super clingy all of a sudden?

Connors always been high on the clingyness but he was just starting to get a tad independent playing in his PNP useing toys without screaming for me to be right beside him for every button push.......now all of a sudden hes right back to square 1 wont even sleep unless he is touching someone.

I know it could just be a stage but i cant help but wonder if somehow its becuse im pregnant like maybe he allready knows based on the composition of my milk or something. are any of you noticing the same thing? do you think its possible that they know?

I'm not sure if they can sense something is changing or not but Frankie had gotten clingy. He has always been clingy and a mamas boy but its gotten worse. He cries if I'm not sitting with him, like when I walk into the kitchen or something. He cries in the car and is only happy when I get in the back with him. Also, he will only take naps while laying on me now and at bedtime I've had to have dh put him down because he'll freak out and cry as soon as he's out of my arms. I guess it could be just a phase.

DD is 19 months old. She was always a momma's girl, but this clinginess is hard to deal with. I can't leave her alone in our well baby proofed living room even for 2 minutes to use the bathroom. If I want to leave her in our living room to get ready to go somewhere, forget it. Cue the screaming fit. As soon as I let her back into our room, she is happy. She has also been wanting to nurse a lot more and I've had a big increase in supply. Usually it was first thing in the morning then a comfort feeding at night. Now she wants it 4 times a day. She fights her naps and bedtimes most nights like she did when she was real small. Sometimes she wakes up and just screams at 2 am. When that happens, she is only happy in my arms and screams as soon as I put her in her crib. Bringing her in bed with us isn't an option as she doesn't sleep with us. She just thinks its play time. So yeah, she has been super clingy.

Alex is 2 and a half. I can't even go to the toilet without him following me in. I'm going to have to get brave and enrolled him into a playschool a couple of mornings a week. Where he gets left for a couple of hours. I think it will do him good to become more independent. But I also know he's going to scream after me the first few times.
