I've heard the same, heat the lunch meat until it's steaming. It's not the same though!
I want a cold sub on an everything roll with turkey, ham, salami and provolone cheese with mayo and oil SO BAD!! Haha I should make a list of stuff I want after I have the baby. Like I'll make my family who visits me bring me food lol!
I'll be honest, I didn't expect to miss cold lunch meat so bad. And I could really go for a diet Pepsi!

The thought of eating this sandwhich with hot meat totally kills it for me.

I want this...and some carpaccio...and like 9 sushi rolls. Also....an enormous caramel coffee.

I thought mayonnaise was a no-no too, because it can contain raw egg whites in it.

Mayo from scratch has raw eggs. Store bought stuff does not.

Honestly I haven never stopped eating lunch meat while pregnant. I'm not a big fan so I don't eat it all the time but I've had subs.

The store bought mayo does have eggs, it's on the label, but I guess I never looked into it enough because I just chose not to eat it while pregnant, apparently it's pasteurized, which makes it safer then homemade which is completely raw.

I checked the label on mine and no raw eggs in it. My doc said nothing about it so I'm not concerned.

Y'all sound like such compliant patients. I've eaten soft cheese, seared raw tuna, cold lunch meat, and melon. I can't live in a bubble. I just can't worry about every little thing.

I have always beleived that the lunch meat thing is just to scare people so they eat healither. I have eaten lunch meat with all my pg's and subs from sub way. And never once had any issues with it. Not even from my doc.

I keep thinking of things I want, and then when I get it in front of me, I can't eat it! What a waste of money!
