I can't believe I still don't have a date for an U/S and most people I know said that it could be week 18 - 20 before I do have one.

I have a drs apt on Thurs the 25th and I really hope I can convince them to give me an early U/S just to remove some of my nervousness. This is my first pregnancy and I'm terrified something will go wrong and I won't even know it.

I haven't had any spotting at all but also have had very few signs/symptoms other than sore boobs & extreme tiredness.

I thought some offices do an US at 12 weeks if you opt to test for certain conditions. Definitely ask your doctor. If you get really desperate then you could always try going to a standalone clinic that does nonmedical ultrasounds. It's totally okay to have no symptoms.

I'm sorry that must be so hard, especially on here with all of the early ultrasounds everyone is getting. I hope you are able to get one soon.

That really sucks, I'm surprised they aren't talking about an earlier one. Around here they always do one before 12 weeks to confirm dates and make sure everythings okay etc. I agree, must be hard with all of us posting our u/s scans.

I'd probably insist on an u/s at your appt but that's just me, i'm a bit persistent. Try not to worry about lack of symptoms since that can be totally normal. I know its hard to wait!

I probably would not have gotten one if she hadn't tried and failed at finding the heartbeat with the doppler.

if you really want one and they wont just do it for you then you can opt to do the NT scan but i think you have to do that around 10-12 weeks so youd have to decide very soon.

Please don't worry about lack of symptoms!!! I was on pins and needles the last few weeks because I do not have any MS only sore boobs off and on, fatigue and pimples. I had an ultrasound at 11 weeks today and saw the heartbeat and baby!! I've had early ultrasounds only due to the fact of a previous ectopic.

I won't get an ultrasound from my doctor until 18 weeks but I'm going to a pregnancy center that does them for free. Is there anything like that near you?

agreed with the ladies... I have to schedule one for the dating of the pregnancy. That should happen around 10-13 weeks... the 18- 20 weeks would be another for the anatomy scan to find out the sex of baby..
Talk to your dr and see what they say.

I guess I have to wait till next Thurs for sure but around here there is ony UCBaby and nothing with then is free. I have MS, a lapband, and this is my first pregnancy after a long history with PCOS so I just thought that my doctors would be more concerned but my family doctor could really care less lol he just sent me for bloodwork and then set up a referral and that was it.

Seeing everyone's u/s is hard but also so awesome to see everyone's little beans hehe

I found a doc that did them because I wasn't waiting for 12 weeks either.
