Today it has been pretty intense. Lots of cramping and pressure down there. They aren't consistent but come and go and last maybe 30-45 minutes before dying down. Some of it is a dull ache, some a sharp pain, some a tightening feeling. None of it seems to be consistent so I hate to call my OB or go in just to be fine -I hate feeling like a nuisance. I know after having two I should be a pro but after 5 years my memory has lapsed and I don't remember much of anything.

Is anyone else experiencing this or know if it's normal/expected? I dealt with preterm labor issues with my other two pregnancies so I'm on high alert with this one. I need this baby staying put until at least 40 weeks. Not sure if it matters, but I just started my progesterone injections last week.

I have a friend due in January and was having intense pains last night . But she could feel the baby moving, so she felt reassured. It stopped late last night so she never got it checked out. She does have a drs appt Monday though.

I hope all is okay with your friend! Mine have died down a lot and I haven't had any today. I'm guessing things are just stretching and finding their places as baby gets settled in.

I wonder if your already starting to have braxton hicks contractions. I know with my last they started around 24 weeks and I've heard they start earlier and earlier with each pregnancy. That is what is sounds like it could be to me. I wouldn't worry about being a nuisance, it's your body and your baby. If they start up again I would atleast call the nurse and see what she thinks. I hope they don't come back.

I didn't think about braxton hicks! I have an appointment tomorrow for an injection so I'll ask them. I've had some of the tightening feeling again today but nothing too intense or worrisome. Hopefully it's all normal.

Let us know what your dr says. I know the injection will suck, an evil necessity.

My braxton hicks feel like an involuntary tightening of my uterus muscles but I don't have pressure. Pressure/pain in the woo-haa area warrants a call to the doc office, I think. Especially with your history.

The pressure is what was most concerning to me also. I'll see what the doc says tomorrow. Hopefully all is well.
