Yesterday was my regular checkup and my big 20 week ultrasound isn't scheduled until October 14th. I had been really bummed because I thought I wouldn't find out the gender of my baby until then and that would make me 22.5 weeks. It felt like an eternity!! Well, when I went to my appointment, all of the rooms were full and the only one available was the ultrasound room, so they put me in there. Because I was simply there, the doctor asked if I wanted a quick peak at the gender! Of course!! I was so thrilled. He didn't want to cooperate at first. He had his legs crossed and scrunched up against his body. But we finally were able to get peak.
The most upsetting part of it all was that my husband couldn't be there. He had to work and go to school. At least he will be there for my 20 week anatomy scan. So that's a plus.
With the new baby, that makes 3 boys and 1 girl for our family.
Congrats on a baby boy! I understand how you feel about the big ultrasound being soooo far away. Mine is Oct 10th and it's driving me crazy waiting so long. I'm very thankful DH and DS will be able to attend it though!
