so my anatomy scan is in 4 days im so so excited this time so of course im freaking out becuse I really really want to know what we are haveing and I really really want it to be a girl....at first Id convinced myself it would probably be a boy but now iv convinced myself that we will get a much worse answer "I cant tell". iv herd of babies haveing legs crossed or faceing away where the tech cant get a good look and now im just certain that will happen someone plese tell me it is super rare and im being cray cray lol.

With my second daughter they couldn't see her gender at the scan at the dr office. We went to an elective place and it took 2 more scans to see her. Her legs were always crossed! Sorry....probably not the response you were hoping for

When I did mine at the private clinic my baby had her legs closed at first, nut the tech bounced the wand on my stomach some and that seemed to do the trick. Some women say to drink juice or something similar to try and get baby wiggling.

Boys seem to have it all hanging out there. All my boys had there legs wide appart. This baby girl had her legs tightly crossed. I paid for my 16 week scan so she kept trying over again to get babies legs uncrossed. And the same again with my anatomy scan luckily the tech was kind and kept trying to uncross her legs. While she was doing so she said to me I'm telling you know this baby is a girl. 9 out of 10 times when a babies legs are crossed it's a girl. Anyway I finally got a peek at 3 lines.

I think you should eat something sugary and drink something really cold before you go in to get baby moving!

Drink some orange juice before your scan. I've always heard that OJ will make baby active. Hopefully baby will be moving around and they can see the gender. Fingers crossed for a girl.

Sorry to say it does happen or sometimes the techs even get it wrong. My cousin just had a boy and she was told he was a girl. Needless to say she was irritated because she had NO boy stuff and all pink everything. Not trying to scare you. I was afraid also they wouldn't be able to see but I have never had the issue. They were able to tell as soon as they put the wand on my tummy with all 5 of my kids so far, even my DD.

It happened to me! Violet was cross legged and not showing a thing. we walked out thinking we would have to wait until birth.

We ended up with another u/s for unrelated reasons and they told us it was a GIRL!

It can totally happen but there are ways around it.

Good luck! I'm in the opposite boat. I'm hoping to not find out, but I don't want to cover my eyes and miss out on seeing my bean! I'm hoping you get Team Pink! xx

This is why my OB told me not to go painting walls, cause while not often, it can and does happen. IDK anyone IRL personally that has though, but I have heard of it.
