Ordered the babys carseat today Finally, after looking for weeks trying to decide which one to get. I went with the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35 Car Seat. I like that it goes to 35lbs so I have a few years before I have to upgrade. My last few kids used a conertible seat from the start so it's been like 10yrs since I shopped for an infant carrier type seat. Only reason I went with this kind this time is because I take my 3yr old to and from pre-k every day and figure it'll be less having her out in the cold this way.

Now I just need to stock up on girls clothes and diapers and I'll be set

That's an awesome carseat, I love the Snugrides! I *think* most babies outgrow these seats by height first, that's the main disadvantage. I know my SR 30 goes to 30 inches, and my son outgrew that by about 9 months. Now we just have a RFing convertible for him, that he will RF in forever.

But, yay on the first purchase! Babies are so fun to buy for!

I am getting a car seat from my aunt that she used on my 1.5 year old cousin. I'm not sure of the brand, but they take real good care of their things so I know it will be in good shape! And it's cute!

I have bought so many little things already, lol. She is my first so I am just so excited to get her special little things! My relatives are already buying clothes though so I'm stopping the clothes purchases! I also have her pack n play in layaway.

We looked at car seat yesterday. We had a Chicco Key fit with our last but it expires next September so we are just going to go ahead and get another Chicco because it fits into our stroller.

The car seat does make it very real.

I can't wait to buy some baby stuff. We have so many other things to take care of right now so I am waiting until November to start really shopping for anything. I may pick up some clothes and smaller stuff he needs but the car seat and bigger stuff will have to wait till after October when we get winter clothes shopping done for the others first.

Yay for your first purchase!!! We have only bought two sets of flip flops in pink and blue, for .99 cents each, for our pregnancy reveal pic. We used one of each bc we don't know what we are having. I can't seem to get myself to buy anything or even check all of the recall lists for all of the stuff we still have stocked away in our attic from when our son was a baby. It just still doesn't seem real yet and I'm hoping that at some point it finally does. Maybe I'm afraid of jinxing things, I just don't know. I can't wait for my first bought something post. So congrats!

Ahhhh speaking of which, I remember seeing a recall on my bassinet last year. Better call in for the repair part.
