I am going back to work a few months after our little girl is born but it is very important to me she receive breast milk for at around 18 months. Also my DH will want to feed her too got bonding purposes. I will be freezing and refrigerating milk and I need to know which bottles seem to do the best. It has been so long since I had my older two and things have changed I'm sure. Suggestions?

There will be some great advice to you here, I am sure . I used bottles very little and loved Dr. Brown's! We loved them from the beginning and stuck to them.

I teach breastfeeding classes and get a LOT of great feedback on the mOmma (Lansinoh) bottles because they are so soft and malleable and more like your nipple. My moms seem to have good luck with going back and forth.

Good luck!! 18 months is an OUTSTANDING goal! Find someone to support your effort and use them. It's so nice to have someone like-minded to talk to .

Amazon.com: Dr. Brown's 4 oz Natural Flow Baby Bottle, 3 Pack: Baby

Lansinoh® mOmma® Feeding Bottle w/ Natur... : Target

Keep in mind that like pacifiers it may depend on your child

I heard alot of ppl swear by tommy tippy for breastfeeding babes
Amazon.com: Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Newborn Starter Set: Baby

but my son whould never take them he preferred Playtex ventaire (maybe becuse he started on hospital nurser bottles?)
Amazon.com: Playtex Playtex VentAire Advanced Standard Bottle Gift Set: Baby

Either way he completely self weaned off bottles and pacies at around 3-4 months hopefully you wont have to deal with that it was manageable for me since I work from home but It was still a bit complicated hes allways been a stubborn one wouldnt take cups or spoons or anything (still wont really use a spoon actually) but anyway if all else fails you can always just get a single of several types of bottles and then stock up on the one baby actually likes.

Im sure your aware of this but if your planing to be pumping that much Id highly suggest investing in a good pump that will be the most important part I have a medela pump in style
Amazon.com: Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump with On the Go Tote: Baby

but iv heard increasingly good things about closed system pumps such those offered by amanda or hygeia

Amazon.com: Ameda Purely Yours Ultra Breast Pump: Baby

EnJoye

Hopefully some of this can help I forgot to add that if your a Facebook user you may want to search for the kelly mother to mother breastfeeding group as well as the group page for your local LLL chapter both of those helped me alot and they should be closed groups so you dont have to worry about your friends seeing anything you post.

Thanks ladies! I already have the madela pump I was able to get at a discount cuz I work at the hospital. I did this some with my daughter but not as much as I will have to now. I was able to nurse my son for just shy of 2 years and my daughter for 18 months so I'm gonna give it my best I think I may just grab like one of rag of the top named ones then let her choose from there

I've never used bottles while breastfeeding so no help here. I think you're going to get a different answer from everyone though! Might have to be trial and error.

The medela pump is awesome. I work full time but like you I wanted all my kids to continue to get breastmilk while I worked. I used that pump for almost 18 months with both of my kids and it was wonderful. I plan on doing the same thing this time also.

As far as bottles I think Kelly is right it will depend on your child. My first child loved the Dr. Browns and I thought they were great bottles so when I was pregnant with my second child I also bought him some Dr. Browns bottles and he hated them. I went through several brands of bottles with him until I found one that he liked. he ended up liking the Platex Nurser but he always preferred the boob to the bottle so anytime I was with him I would nurse him so DH didn't get to give him alot of bottles. This time I am just going to try the bottles out and see what this baby likes. you might just but one of a few different kinds and see what baby likes then pick up a few more.
