Ok, I'm not sure what to call them. lol

This is what I mean:
Amazon.com: Baby Trend Velocity Travel Jogger System, Volcano: Baby

See the thing over the feet? That's what I mean. Is this useful or just something I'll store forever?

I always used a little snowsuit or bunting for my babies in the winter, but now i see some moms just snug them up with blankets and covers in their regular clothes. What works best? Any thoughts?

Lurking..

I didn't have an infant car seat that came with a cover but we bought the JJ Cole insert (DD was born in February) and it was probably the best thing ever. It definitely helps during those chilly first few months of doctor's appointments and getting in and out of the car.

I had something like that and found it annoying. I think it's a preference thing. Plus I find it soooo much easier just to throw a blanket on over top

I'm sure that it gets alot colder in Upstate New York than in Tennessee but I just put a blanket over them when we went outside. I never had my babies outside that much either though. I have seen those JJCole covers and those do look nice and warm.

We didn't actually pull the carrier out of the car that often. Too much of a hassle. So when we did we'd just tuck a blanket or two around her.

Yea, a coworker told me about one of this. She loved it and I plan to get one...it's not too pricey. I think it's under $40. Though it doesn't really get that cold here (as opposed to other places in the US)...it may be too cold for her in early Feb.

I've also seen the covers for the car seats at the store, they are fuzzy and essentially zip up over the whole baby to keep them very warm when they are little! I will probably get one! January-February is always the worst time for below zero weather around here, so I want her to be kept warm when she's coming home!

Get a cover. Using a snowsuit or heavy coat on a baby, toddler, etc is Very unsafe because the straps can't tighten enough.

I saw that carrier too, and I thought it was really neat. Thought about trying it myself, considering all these babies will be born during the snowy season

They're pretty much the norm here. Ours will have one.
