So I had my two week visit with the high risk doc and the cardiologist again today. It seems I have to go every two weeks now until baby gets here. It's a lot of back and forth but hey, it's coming to a close soon. So baby looks stable still. He has aortic stenosis also which the aortic valve is closed now period instead of just narrow. The doc said it was so small he expected that to happen so it's no big shock. His mitral valve is what has a leak and the leak it's moderate right now and not getting worse so that is a plus. He has me coming back so often to keep a very close eye on his pulmonary vein. it's narrow and if it gets any smaller he wants to do the intervention before birth. So far it's not becoming any worse so I am holding out serious hope it doesn't. His HLHS is not what's so concerning even though its a major problem. It's the combination of issues that has the cardiologist keeping a close eye on him. They have a lot of work to do on his heart when he gets here but I am praying I come out with a relatively healthy child when it's all said and done. He is weighing in at 2.5 lbs which is good.
On a good note I will be hitting my 3rd trimester this Sunday so it's the last home stretch for me. I literally have 9 weeks left until full term. Can't believe I'm down to single digit already. Something tells me it is about to fly by. I'm nervous as heck to get him here but in a way I want to go ahead and get it over with and start the long hard journey we will need to take.
I'm glad things are going well. I also have to go to the dr every 2 weeks , then in mid dec I have to go every week again. It is a lot, but I think it's better that the drs keep a close eye and make sure things continue to go well.
I can't believe that some of us are near the third trimester. So glad that he is stable and it's not getting any worse. I'm going to keep praying that it stays that way and will be fixed once he is born. Glad your dr is keeping such a good eye on you.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy
I'm so glad he's stable and as of now doesn't need intervention.
We'll keep praying for you guys that everything stays the same/gets better here too. 9 weeks is a great feeling, huh?
::giant hugs:: stay strong Momma
