Sorry I've been MIA lately! I started having contractions a couple of weeks ago and now I am on bed rest. No dilating, but I was 50% effaced....and since your cervix does not miraculously repair itself I am on bed rest. This happened when I was pregnant with my son so I understand it a bit more this time and am not quite as freaked out, but it is definitely hard with a 5 year old and 2 year old. Thankfully my husband is amazing and my mother is staying at our house Monday through Friday to help. I'm praying that once I hit 30 weeks in a few weeks I can start moving around....Santa has a lot to do!!!
I imagine that it would be super tough to be on bed rest with any children in a house. Good luck to you

Missing my puppy, but grateful to have shared a bond with her for two years.
Thank you! I will be 27 weeks on Wednesday. The crazy thing is that when it happened with my 2 year old it was the exact same week (25). I was terrified last time and of course super worried this time, but I made it to 39 weeks with my son...praying for the same with this little guy!
Yeah bed rest sucks. I've been on it since the surgery for TTTS at 17 weeks. It's more of a precaution for me so I hopefully don't go into preterm labor. My cervix is always great, and I'd like to keep it that way.
It's great that you have such an awesome support system. I don't know what I'd do without DH , he takes such great care of me.
I'm sure it's tougher for you since you already have kids, but your main priority now is your unborn baby. I know it sucks, and it's physically difficult (my body aches, legs get antsy etc), but it's really not for that much longer if you think about it. Just tell that baby to stay put!!
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about the bedrest. I have never been on bedrest thank goodness and I hope it stays that way. I don't have the best support system sometimes, it would be hard. But if it needed to be done, we'd find a way.
Glad to hear it worked out with your last child, hope everything turns out okay with this one too!

I feel your pain as I have been having issues myself. Over a week ago I only had 14mm (1.3cm) of cervix left and was funnling open. I laid on the couch for a week and when they checked it again it was 2.3cm and not a funnelled open. This is the second time this has happened to me and everytime I get off my feet it gets a little better. Did they put you on any medicine? I am on progesterone shots weekly and procardia 3X a day. I am suppose to stay off my feet as much as I can and I am "trying" to be good so I don't end up strapped to a bed.

So sorry to hear about the bed rest. I was on bed rest with my last pregnancy and it does stink. Hopefully the bed rest will work though and your little one will continue to bake for a long time. Glad your have a great support system. That really helps when you are on bed rest.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy
