I had my 36 weeks appointment last Friday. Took me a few days to update because the stomach bug hit our house hard this past weekend. First Jackson, then DH and then yesterday I was in bed all day with the darn thing. We all seem to be on our way to recovery. Just hoping that Jacob doesn't get it now.

On Friday I had my 36 weeks appointment. Dr did my GBS test. Haven't gotten the results back yet. My blood pressure was good, weight was good and urine was good. My dr was in surgery when I got there so his nurse practioner did the growth scan. She measured my little boy at 5 lbs 7 oz which was 2 oz less than he weighed 2 weeks ago. So of course I started to freak out. I know they can be off but I couldn't figure out why he was measuring smaller. So they sent me back out to the waiting room to wait on my dr. Thankfully he got there soon so I didn't have to wait long. he did a scan and he measured baby to be 6 lbs 1 oz which was 1/2 lb bigger than 2 weeks ago. He thinks the high risk dr who did my last scan overestimated the weight and that is why it seemed like baby wasn't gaining much. he did say my fluid levels looked good and everything else looked good. he did schedule another scan for this Friday just to double check and make sure baby was gaining weight. he did help put my mind more at ease about baby's weight gain. So i'm hoping that come friday we will have some more weight gain on this little guy.

I hope it was just human error. You haven't had any complications so far, right? My U/S tech showed me how the weight estimates are done. She drew a lasso around the torso and head on the U/S and the program calculated weight. Because my OB was worried this baby was big, she did it 4 times and each time, got a different weight, depending on the way she drew the lasso around the torso. I can see how they can be off a bit. Keep us updated Friday!

No I haven't had any complications so like you I hope it was just human error. My dr did show me his little tummy which is a nice fat little tummy. he said that when you are dealing with placenta problems or interuterine growth restriction the babies will have a small tummy and my little guy has a large tummy. I'm just hoping that come Friday he will be bigger.

Glad to hear the stomach bug is on the way out in your house! I hate being sick and stomach bugs are the worst. I'm sure your little one's size is just perfect. They told me the weights can be off by up to 2lbs either way. Let us know how this Fridays scan goes.

The stomach bug sucks, glad you guys are getting over it.

It probably was just human error, good luck on your next appointment, and hurray for an otherwise good appointment.
