Its been a week since I been on, but its been a rough one at that. Last Monday we got a severe weather warning out here in Georgia. They said we were going to be hit by the PAX storm that was moving in. ( it was rain, freezing rain, ice, sleet and snow.) I can say its one of the biggest storms Georgia has seen since like 2009/2010. They exspected power outages and everything. The storm hit about Wednesday morning, good thing was it wasn't to bad were I am (just rain) so my fiancée was able to go to work. But where my mom lives got hit really bad. She ended up losing power Wednesday afternoon and just got it back last night (Sunday night). When my fiancée got home Wednesday afternoon, we just layed in bed with my 4 year old and watched movies till we lost power at 7,but they had it back on in an hour. After my son went to sleep we were laying in bed watching a movie and lost power again at about 11. So we just decided that it was time for bed. The next morning my son Woke up sick. He had a fever, fussy, and couldn't hold anything down. I got really upset cause with how sick he was I felt bad cause I couldn't do anything for him and we still had no power and it was just steadily getting colder. So my fiancée had to keep me in a decent mood while trying to help me take care of my son and cutting up fire wood to try to have a fire for a little bit of heat. At about 8:30 that night, I told my fiancée I can't deal with it no more i am worried bout my 4 year old getting sicker, I am 39 weeks pregnant really uncomfortable and about to freeze. I told him we needed to find some where to go that has power so we can stay warm. So we ended up going to one of his friends house that still had power. We stayed there over night, which was nice to have heat. But I woke up Friday morning feeling horrible. I was having contractions, along with a sore throat and a little bit of a stuffy nose. As Friday progressed I just started feeling worse. It is now Monday morning and I honestly feel like death warmed over and now still having contractions. Hopefully these contractions mean baby will be here soon since I'm due Thursday. We do have power back at our house, but that came back on at about 1245 Thursday night. Hope everyone had a great weekend and is staying safe and warm.
