Monster cookies and milk cookies!!! Lots of great easy recipes out there. Here's a couple that we were talking about on the fb page. Sorry, I didn't think to post here earlier.

Smashed Peas and Carrots: No-Bake Energy Bites {Recipe}

Monster Cookies | Recipe Girl

And there's tons more recipes online. Oatmeal, brewers yeast, fenugreek and flaxseed are great for milk production.

Fenugreek! My doula warned me to not take it though unless I'm having issues with bfing. It is like drugs where your body can become dependant and you'll NEED to take it in order to produce she said. I dunno what's right or wrong but I trust her and have with my first born literally lol I've known her over half my life!

There's a lot of lactation teas that have fenugreek in them that can help

Oatmeal prepped how you like it and oatmeal cookies! Anything with oatmeal will do the trick. I up my oatmeal eating when baby goes through a growth spurt. It seems to really help up my supply to meet demand quickly.

Where do you all get the fenugreek and other herbal supplements? The only place I could think of around here would be a Vitamin shoppe? Do you take it before you give birth?

You can find fenugreek (by vitamins) and mother's milk tea (coffee aisle) anywhere. Also it has to be canned oatmeal too not instant.

I found fenugreek at GNC (if you have those around you). It didn't really do anything for me besides make me smell like maple syrup haha. Actually nothing I did helped increase production - I have no problems feeding her directly I just couldn't make enough pumping.

I also could only find fenugreek at GNC or ordered it online, which was much cheaper!

Another oatmeal cookie recipe:

2 cups chocolate chips (or 1 bag....I notice some companies are making the bags a little smaller these days )
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2-2 cups uncooked oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla
<1 cup flour

***Just made 2 batches of the dough, I ended up adding a little over 2 cups of oatmeal per batch, it was way too gooey otherwise***

Melt chocolate bits, stir in butter and salt
Beat eggs until thick, add sugar to this gradually
Blend in oatmeal, vanilla, and chocolate mixture.
Make small scoops or drops
Bake @ 375* for about 8 minutes.

My sisters and I called these reindeer turds when we were little (Mom always made them for Christmas), but now that I like oatmeal, these are some of my favorite cookies!

Pretty sure I have done it before! The chocolate rehardens quite a bit, even being in the fridge, so it's best to scoop into balls and freeze/refrigerate like that. Otherwise you get stuck waiting quite a bit for the dough to get warm enough to be able to do it.

I've heard of oatmeal helping but don't really like it (as a breakfast food). In baked goods is another thing though. I can't believe I never thought to eat it that way!

My 4th kid was the one I had the moat issues with bf. But fenugreek helped me a lot. And yeah if your taking enough you will smwll like mayple syrup. Also oatmeal has to be the regular one not instant. And just make it like you normally would.

Another good tip is. After everytime you feed pump!!!! This will make your body think it needs to produce more. Also a good pump is a must.

But...i only make instant oatmeal.... ;_;

I have Mother's Milk tea in my cabinets already because a friend who stopped BF pretty early on gave it to me. But i've also seen it at Walmart.

My clinic's pharmacy has the Fenugreek so if you're clinic happens to have a pharmacy attached (or wherever you pick up your breast pump maybe), check there!
