My DD's name is Madison and I'm trying to think of a girl name that starts with M that sounds good with Madison. For a boy I was going to go with Mason - I thought Madison and Mason sounded cute together. Does anyone have any ideas for girl names that start with M?

How about Melody?
I also kinda like older names likes Meredith or Matilda, but a more fashionable MacKenzie, might sound better with Madison. Or maybe McKenna...?
The cute nickname Maggie, made me want to say Margaret, though i wonder if your daughter may already get 'Maddie' and thats pretty similar. And Madeline is another classic name i like, but again, so similar to Madison.

Marilyn, Molly, Margaret (Maggie), Madeline, Marie, Marisela, Menolly, Melody, Mariah, Meryn, Minuette, Monica, Meredith, Melissa, Megan, Maureen, Mariette

All the M names I could think of right off the top of my head. I'm sure there are a lot more out there. But maybe you'll like one of these.

My DD is Molly. I like that it's feminine without being too frilly. Not too over-used, but still a recognizable name. Strong, but fun. It's a diminutive of Mary, which is a family name for us. Some name books cite the meaning as "star of the sea", which I like. Also lots of fun namesakes: Molly Brown, Molly from "Corinna, Corinna", Molly in "Annie", Molly in "Peter and the Starcatcher" (which I was reading not long before she was born), Molly Weasley (Harry Potter), Molly in "Ghost", etc...

I also love Marissa and Maggie.

I always thought Miranda was pretty.
I come from a part Cajun family, so I like French names.
Like Madeleine, Marseille, and Mireille.

I like a lot of the names mentioned but Melody came to my mind first. It's a very pretty name and not one you hear all the time.

How about the name Moira. I've always thought that was a different and unique name.
