Last time we had a list of 5 names and only told a few people that list. I'm not sure we're even going to do that this time. It was really frustrating hearing people criticize something we spent hours researching/agonizing over.
On a related note, my pregnant coworker was telling another woman about her name choices and the woman starts saying oh I don't like XYZ name. I think it's terrible. Then my coworker goes, "Well that's my mom's name and I thought it was pretty nice." I felt like decking that woman. ugh.
We have not even discussed names between the hubby and I yet, we figured we would do it later or even in the hours spent in the delivery room we will both have our short lists to talk about. We will not be picking a name tell the baby is born and we are not finding out what he or she is tell the baby is here.
Oh the topic that never fails to cause grief.
Wife and I are negotiating name and MIL asked a few weeks ago.
Wife and I have settled on a girls name Zoe Amelia (Zoe sort of for zooey Deschanel but really we just like it, and Amelia for Amy Pond of Dr Who She Rocked)
But boys names we haven't figured out so my MIL was being adimate about a few names in my wife in spite said it will be Benedict yes Benedict for Benedict Cumberbatch (We love him). Mil just said WHAT BENEDICT??!?!?!
I think naming your kid Benedict would be AWESOME! Or you could name him "Sherlock!" Lol!
