Just wondering if you have a specific hobby or two that you'd like to share?

I don't have anything that I pursue regularly at this point in time, but I was taking adult beginner ballet classes from January right up to July when I started not feeling well in my first trimester. I love it! I got a lot of muscle tone, flexibility, balance and graceful movement just from the first six months. I fell out of it after getting pregnant but plan to go back to class after the baby comes (one night a week for two hours for Mommy's sanity should be doable ) I think after this busy week is over, I'm going to start doing my stretches and barre exercises at home so that I can keep my core strong and get some muscle tone back. I have never felt so out of shape or weak in my life!

What is your hobby? How do you work around your children and pregnancy to make sure you still get hobby time?

Umm Well I make Jewelry. Love it and it seems to destress me at the end of the day. I've been working it around DS cause he gets to help, he picks out strands of stones or neads he likes and helps me figure out a design. He mostly plays with a strand or whatnot, but he feels like he's helping so that's good. Or he'll entertain his dad, and leave me be. lol With the PG currently I haven't gotten as much as I should done, jsut becuase I can't seem to sit in that position too long without it making the belly sore and uncomfy. So we'll see how that goes the bigger I get.

My other Hobby is my miniature horses. I LOVE 'em. DS is a big helper, esp when I have foals, cause he helps desensitize them for kids. And he loves to love on them. Nothing has changed as far as the pg and them, other than I have let Dh do the worming (cause so, some even if you get it on your fingers you can almost taste it in your mouth, so I'm sure I def don't need to be exposed to that). And DH has taken over the foot trimming (done it once honestly) so I'm not hunched over trying to do it. LOL Everything else I still do like I always have. I get my daily walk in going out to pen the toots, cause they're not inclined to want to come in an get their grain in the evenings. lol Will be super interesting to see it goes though further on in the pg, becuase I bred all three girls to foal between Dec and March (two like mid fed to march), so I dont' know how well it'll go doing the multiple nightly checks and stuff with a 8,9, and 10 month old belly sticking out there. But I guess the bright side of that is I'll be keyed into the middle of the night feedings for the baby before it gets here too.

Apparently having babies is my hobby.

Your dance class sounds nice. I would like to do something physical, I think it would help with my mood. And my fat. My friend teaches adult beginner tap, but I am not interested in that. If she did jazz or even ballet, I may try it. But not tap. I used to like to work out, cook, read, travel, talk to people. I don't work out or travel anymore, but the rest I still do with kids as they come. It really is amazing the different kinds of people who live in this small town.

I love to cook and bake and I keep up a recipe blog with pictures. It's lots of fun. Have slowed down a little since getting pregnant, but am starting to pick back up now for the holidays.

Hmm not really...wow I should find something to do!

And I love dance I took dance throughout high school, we learned a lot of ballet stuff [in fact, it was mostly ballet] I was looking for a good dance class I could take before I got pregnant, so I'll probably try to find another one after I have Aurora.

Teresa, you should so design a "mommy necklace" that we can buy from you! That would be so cool!

I enjoy cross-stitch even though I haven't picked it up in years. Probably will start back shortly as I've quit my hobby with the hubster. We play pool and have even gone to Vegas to play out there in the Championships with our team (2008). I don't care for it too much but hubby loves to play and I go to be with him, plus it gets us out and about instead of our usual homebody-selves...lol

Other than that you'll find us parked in front of the tv watching whatever tv series we got in from netflix..lol or doing yardwork.

Not a very exciting life, but I think Princess will be changing all of that!

Hmm I dunno about any specifics really! I'm not really sure what makes a 'mommy necklace' what it is.
I like darker shades of colors, I don't think the kind of stone would really matter, just several different sizes mixed in so baby is more intrigued by it. And all smooth! haha it would suck to get a good yank on it and be jabbed by a hard corner or something
Oh and I gotta say I hate the style with the big circular pendant, I would so never wear that in public!

lol there are lots with circular pendants, and crosses and a gazillion other types. lol Different stones are different colors. I'll think and see. I know after my MS I made a few what they call 'loss bracelts' can't remember the whole poem that goes with them, but it's supposed to help in the grieving.

Ok more specifically the ones with the holes in the middle too...those are just so not my style And noooo crosses haha. I haven't explored the different styles much, so I dunno all that is out there. But yeah, if you get some ideas I will so totally buy one from you No rush though!
I think we should continue this in PMs cause we're about to take over this thread haha.

So hobbies, yeah...
ooh I'm a total nerd and I like puzzles. I haven't done any in awhile cause I have no space to do it in!

I sew but mainly I sew sugar glider pouches and I was selling them on ebay but I havnt had a chance to do that in awhile. I may get some material after I find out what I am having and sew some oversized receiving blankets and buro cloths. I do need to work on a few pounches for my own gliders they are running low on them and need some cute ones to brighten up there cage.

I also love to throw me some mud (clay nad pottery wheel) it kills my nails but I still love it I may go ahead and take a class this summer to get back into it since I wont be doing any summer classes for my degree. That way I am well rested next fall and spring for more heavy course loads again.

I also sew yo-yos they are cloth circles that you sew all together after you make a bonet to make a big quilt. I plan on makeing them and selling them eventually right now im just on the sewing the small circle stage of the process when I find the time.

I make jewlery for my son's schools Autism awareness fair each spring and donate all of the materials, labor , ect ect to it.

I am going to be makeing ornaments shaped like puzzle peices for a fall/winter fundraiser for the fair i need to get on that soon like next week.

Maybe something as close to the color of aquamarine as you can get? Being as that will be the birthstone for **most** of our babies.

My hobby is scrapbooking!

I love to cook and bake. I'm an armature photographer who needs to pick up my camera more. I also love reading and tinkering with anything computer related. My NookColor is now rooted so I can download android apps on it (such as netflix, games, and other things). So now I can watch porn on it as well as my Nintendo DS. Granted I don't watch much porn, I just think it's fun to have the option when most people don't for said devices.

I maintain a blog, which is a hobby I suppose. It allows me to flex my web design skills.

I like doing a lot of different things but have no small set hobbies I suppose.
