3 weeks now with this sinus infection.
Now i'm running high fevers and can't communicate properly. Called the 24hr nurse line and she suggested ER. I'm going to the primary instead see what he has to say, maybe I'll still be running a fever when I get there with my luck it won't....
I swear he thinks I'm getting hysterical pregnant lady on him, had an asthma attack, doc appointment was so late the asthma had stopped...
I swear I get more results from going to the Urgent care clinic than the reg doc
Be forceful... tell him that this is affecting your daily living and describe the color of the snot with him. And if he doesn't put you on an antibiotic go ahead and start crying. As a nurse I would also suggest to tell his nurse exactly what you are going through- she might have some pull. Three weeks is to long to have a sinus infection and not be seeing some change for the positive. It should be somewhere between 7-14 days for a virus to clear up- after that a good doctor will be more proactive.
I did two years of urgent care through a mayo clinic program and after working with some awesome doctors I hate it when a doctor doesn't listen and respond to a patients needs.
well my fever spiked while I was waiting on him to come in the room so there was no questions as to if I had one or not. I was on Amoxacilin so he changed it to this new one, waiting on the OB to call me back so I can confirm if this is good or not.
