Anyone have restless leg syndrome? What do you do for relief? I only seem to get it when I am pregnant, but it gets so bad. I feel like I end up pacing all night long or laying in a warm bath and dozing off. I have no idea what else to try and I know it is only going to get worse from the farther along I get.

I don't have this problem, but DF does it drives me nuts sometimes, I know he can't help it, but people fidgeting has bugged me since I was a kid.

I'd suggest googling it and seeing what pops up. I know I've run across a lot of info on it in the past, trying to get DF to try some stuff to help it [and of course he never does!] I just can't remember any of it now!

I was just reading about this in one of my preggo apps. I believe it said to eat magnesium rich foods and that will help....otherwise massages and warm baths r supposed to help

I get it too! load up on the bananas, they help (potassium rich) At Walmart they sell Hylands Restful Legs but check and see first if it's ok for pregnancy. I'm not sure. Hot baths help and putting a heating pad on your legs might help too. I get it occasionally really bad so I know how it feels. Watching tv late at night or reading when it bugs me seems to help get my mind off it. I get it a lot not pregnant and it's a pain!

For magnesium, try epsom salt baths. You need like 2 cups of them in a bath as warm as you are able to have and to soak for at least 15 minutes, but it should help.

I've had this before pregnancy and what I do is get up once I start twitching (so I don't wake up DH) and walk around the house and kick my legs A LOT. Which seems to help for the most part.

Other things I've done include: drink some milk and eat a banana. Put a pillow between my knees as I'm trying to sleep. Hang my legs off the side of the bed and bounce them softly if I have to. Lay on my stomach (before pregnancy) and curl my legs up and slowly lay them back down a few times.

Dh has it- he takes trazodone at night when its bad but thats not an option for us pregnant ladies. Sometimes he has me massage from the top of his leg all the way down before bed, I do this very firmly and slowly.

Thanks ladies! Now if only I could keep bananas in the house before the kids eat them all. I guess I will have to start hiding them I am thankful that it is only a pregnancy thing for me and there is an end in sight. I couldn't imagine having to deal with it long term.
